like i say, its just an idea, may try this tonight. Seems a little too easy so im sure theres something thats stopping you from exploiting this. If it works two people could make a lot of $$ very quick.

Wouldn't work, the betting only works if there are multiple bets on different players to cover the odds. If you were to only bet on one person, then it would come up saying bets cancelled as it needs other bets to counter your bet.

I learnt a valuable lesson in last nights gaming. I had a bounty placed on me by an ai character whos car i stole. I knew that shops such as amunation and clothes stores are safe zones so you can hide in them and people can't draw their weapons to shoot you. So i entered the nearest amunation whilst waiting for my next job to arrive. Only i didn't think about someone blind firing through the doors at me. I quickly died.

So lesson learned if you are trying to avoid being capped for a bounty hide round the corner by the shooting range or behind the till, then you are safe.

If you are trying to kill someone with a bounty who thinks they are being clever hiding in a store, try aiming for them from outside.

Thats seems a bit gash, so if no one counters my bet, then my bet is voided? waste of time really.

I've got a $9,000 bounty on my head... which is really odd as I haven't pissed anyone off (to my knowledge)?!

Can you just put bounties on anybody as I'm guessing I had it put in me randomly...

ETA - I'm just going to drive to the nearest PHer and let them kill me for some bounty - keeping it in the family

Yep but whoever did it must have done it for a reason......it cost them $9k

Correct, as your winnings comes from another players losing bet. It isn't R* that pays out the bet.

How odd, the only thing I can think is I bumped them accidentally in a race as I haven't killed anyone in-game.

Had some races this morning againt 2 ph'ers but lost all of the time! If catch up is off and you hit traffic then its nigh on impossible to get back in the race! Good laugh though but would be better if more crew members would join in for the laughs

I dont think anyone just randomly put $9k on you if you've done nothing malicious.

I think the game will randomly put bountys on you to make it interesting.

Was playing some races last night and for some reason my mate's odds went high, up to 6/1 and then for two races following 5/1 and 4/1. We were in the lobby with only two other guys, so I sacrificed myself for him to win. £2,500 down every race and he won all of them for a tidy profit.

Then we did some parachuting after getting the small airplane from Trevor's airfield:
