The update today buggers up the control settings as it has created another folder in the \Users\yourusername\Documents path. Previously the files were stored in the Battlefield 4 subfolder but since the update it's now Battlefield 4 Beta.

Also discovered that you can copy over your BF3 settings file from BF4, it just needs to be renamed from PROF_SAVE_profile to PROFSAVE_profile and it works a treat. You may have to use the u/i to remap any BF4 specific controls but what's a real bonus (being a left handed freak) is that I can now use the DELETE and INSERT keys which the u/i won't let me map.

Hmm I think pbkbstrB gets generated when pb is running so might have to do it while in a game

Played a couple of rounds of 64 man Obliteration. Imagine a beacon flashing above your head that 32 people are shooting at and you get the idea. Clusterfk of epic proportions. 32 player much better but I don't think the map is a good one for it. Snipers EVERYWHERE. A more open map with less height advantages would make for a better game of Oblit. Tower useful though. Can get close to most of the map from the top. DON'T take it down.

Is the lack of info in this game just a beta thing or is it going to be like this in the finished product (if you can call a day one ea game finished)

I want to see a list of all the guns and their possible upgrades ala BF3.

For example I unlocked a muzzle break. WTF is a muzzle break??? What does it do for me.

I really hope they provide a list again.

Doesn't it tell you what they do in the load out section in battlelog?

Anyway, I'm quite happy with the performance of my system. Everything on ultra at 1900x1080 running about 50fps.

If it does I haven't spotted it.

It does have a little info symbol but it doesn't seem to work at the mo.

After being grumpy with EA/Dice for some reason, and swearing to avoid BF4, I have taken the plunge, and pre-ordered it.

Had a little play on the Beta, and although I was woeful, and it lagged, and I seemed to be killed by everything, I did enjoy it.
I don't have the time to put in to the game as I used to, 2 small children put paid to that. But for £31, I can't complain.

Need to get a headset mic though.

Looks like they've messed something up in the code, if you've got Firefox highlight the items then view the selection source, the descriptions are all there. I didn't notice if it's there in game.

MUZZLE BRAKE
Improves Stability by reducing muzzle climb by 25%, but adds a 30% penalty to the Accuracy of automatic fire
FLASH HIDER
Eliminates the flash generated by firing the weapon without the bullet speed penalty of a full-fledged silencer

Pleased with how it's running for me too (3570k + GTX660), wasn't expecting to run it cranked, 1680x1050 averaging 40-50fps. Enjoying it although I'm playing shockingly badly, haven't played an fps other than TF2 since COD4, it's much harder to see people now and I don't know where I'm taking fire from half the time biggrin (or is that HBAO?)

I like the fact that 4 has returned to a weapon's compatibility charts (a'la BC2) so you can easily see what is the best weapon for a certain job

My system is very similar and I'm surprised by the performance, I was expecting (and hoping tbh hehe ) to have to upgrade my video card for this. Might still SLI though.
