This is the reason I'm not getting this on release this time round.

Will monitor this thread to see what you guys think about the gameplay.

My biggest gripe with BF3 were the 'small maps' (centrally located flags). Can anyone tell me if the maps are more a kin to the BF2 maps of old....or has this version been CoDified as well.
Agree with the map size. Still too small compared to the likes of 1942, bf2, 2142. They have made maps appear big in bf3 but the playable area soon changes that!

First game I played today I got kicked out of due to a network disconnect. Seems to have got better as the day has gone on and overall is a lot of fun. Even the beta level is good to play now there's other, very different levels.

Audio seems to have a few issues.... At times radio messages result in all other sounds fx muted which is a bit odd but it's a rare event. Definitely much smoother than the beta as one would expect as the codebase for that was pretty old by all accounts.

Seems more frantic than BF3, maybe that's just me after two bottle of beer wink

Learnt two thing this evening. You can do damage to the attack heli pilot using a normal hand gun. You can also use the repair tool to kill the heli smile

Had one personal crash and one crash where the server hung while we were changing maps. Other than that it's been pretty smooth. Level 4 already.

My mate was playing with one last night but I couldn't convince him that using a kb/m would be better if he'd just put a bit of effort into trying it.

So far, it's rubbish. Play one map, then it hangs. Sound drops out continually.

Back to BF3 for the time being.

Played through the campaign and it was smooth as butter, firts multiplayer games were laggy to the point of being unplayable, i updated my gtx680 drivers to the nvidia ones recommended and it was a big improvement but still lots of lag and discos on certain maps especially vehicle heavy ones with 64 up.

Playing infantry only seems to be less lag, overall the game feels better than bf3 but so many issues at the moment its frustrating so going to check out arma dayz until they get a handle on the problems,

One thing i like playing as recon on ps3 it was impossible to get accurate long range shots, with a mouse my accuracy has improved no end but cq movement on kb is a right faff,

Games seem pretty hectic, not much teamwork going on but i suppose nobody knows the maps.

Loving the graphics though, makes the console grafx look meh.

Does anybody else suffer as much freezing/crashing as me? Its around once every map and its driving me insane. Single player is no different either. All drivers up to date and my computer should handle it well.
Thanks

You lot are the beta testers whether you believe it or not.

I'm still waiting for the bug-free version of BF3 to be released. roflbanghead

And I expect the hackers are already in force on BF4 with "Punkbuster" only serving to occasionally ps off normal players by occasionally having them kicked off the server due to lag.

I noticed a full version of the game on Pirate Bay 3 days before release . You couldn't play it but the hackers had access to the code.

1) Aye. biggrin
2) Obviously. Be nice if they gave us BF4 FOC by way of apology.
3) Am not surprised. Hopefully, the tards will head to BF4 and leave me to enjoy BF3.

Agreed. The lag, loss of audio and server crashes is terrible. Massively disappointed.
