I'm sure there were more than 16 people on the stand behind the opening credits too, so there may have been a little post-production - even so, awesome working round the constraints to do that in game. Brilliant biggrin

Probably it was hacked to get more 'actors' as you can put in a capture job, but I'm not complaining when it ends up like this!

Also this 'Armageddon Race' in the second half of the video.

I wondered why there weren't many people online, then realised PSN has had problems this weekend. It logged me out of PSN while I was with Martin and I couldn't rejoin any sessions with crew in, so I've called it a night. Annoying.

Not sure if this is linked but I had some weirdness in my garage for the first time tonight. My newly acquired Ruiner was at a very jaunty angle and my Entity looked like it had been jacked up for off-roading.

So after an age of not actually playing I started playing online today and managed to get up to level 9- it's been a slow day.

What are the quickest ways to earn RP and also ca$h money?

Steal and sell a car first thing you do when you start an online session, then accept any missions you get offered from other players.
You can sell a stolen car every 45 mins or so real time, so remember to do that between missions and races.
Certain cars are worth up to 9k, so its well worth keeping an eye out for those

I suspect missions are more worthwhile for a new player than they used to be (since last Tuesday's update). I remember taking a while to complete them alone and earning only a couple of thousand dollars. You'll get more like $10k for even the lower level missions now (highly variable of course, depends on how long they take to complete and whether you put them on hard or easy, etc).

Finally worked out the formula to calculate mission earnings. Taking solo, easy, 4-6mins as the base line you get $6000+20*LU where LU is the level at which that mission unlocks. Then apply the multipliers:

1.5x for hard or 1.25x for medium difficulty
1.1x for 2 players, 1.2x for 3 players, 1.3x for 4 players
time multipliers (set out a page or so above), but as examples: 0.75x for completion within 3-4mins, 0.5x for completion in 2-3mins, 1.2x for completion in 6-8mins up to 2x for completion taking over 15mins.

RP varies as well; generally according to something like the same multipliers but not exactly. You also get a crew multiplier bonus for playing with at least one crew member, and you get extra RP for each kill so some missions are much more effective than others for earning RP. But will cost you in ammo...

Join every job/mission you get invited to within a free roam, higher levels can invite you to better/more cash rich jobs.

Specifically the Ballers (Range Rover) and Felons (Jaguars) and the F620 (Maser) are the most worthness you can sell. Dem bare swag cars you no can't sell.
Best fer ca$h money is do dem missions wit fi you bredren, man gotta accept dem invites ya feel me?

Ive been on a few times since the update, and i have struggled to find any of you guys on. To be honest i am really struggling with the game, its almost been a year and we are still at a point where there are no hiests, which i might add are still advertised on the back of the case if you buy it now! the game if you want to buy cars etc is just a boring grind and without friends and crew its really crap!

What's your psn name as I don't see you on the wiki list, unless your garrykiller (not garrydk). Although it's not as popular as it was a few months back there's normally a few members on most nights.

Had some fun races last night with wikibob & sakari, nip and tuck all the way mostly.

Half the fun is random races or just messing about. Or hunting down US players as they go bat st mental when they get killed.

It has been a bit quiet but I think we all have suffered from internet issues or servers not hooking up.

I'm still suffering from the racing season and the resulting work from those weekends eating up all my time. It's gradually coming to an end over the next three months so I should be on more and more. (Hopefully) I'm really looking forward to getting on regularly again so I can finally get my RP up!

That was a good evening racing, almost died laughing in the Zentorno race when you shot up the on ramp on the freeway - I might have helped with your slight detour, not sure if there was a glancing touch.

Good game tonight killing a squeaky yank with some random Brits who then had to get his mates to help him and still got a pasting. I don't usually have chat on to hear everyone but it was on tonight and listening to him squeal, bh and moan was funny.

Anyone know where vinopete has gone, haven't had a random game of hurricane golf in a while

Not sure if you're trying to imply that I talk like that?!
My post might seem a bit concise, I typed it on my phone
