It's got to be a settings issue surely? It was very clear but incredibly quiet, so if the volume is being restricted it could be good.

I bought a Turtle Beach headphones/mic set and they're uncomfortable and the sound quality isn't great so I couldn't recommend them.

The mic volume on the xmb was turned right up, is there somewhere to change it in game? I could barely hear anyone through it either as it was really quiet, it DID sound okay though when testing it on the XMB...

Isn't it just buttons on the headset to turn the volume up?
Mic volume is done in menu and headphone volume with buttons, afaik that's the only options.
Sometimes mine is a bit quiet.. but only because of the fan noise from the ps3, everything is much clearer when I go in the kitchen to get a cup of tea

I paid £30 for mine out of asda and are very comfortable can turn mic on and off

And adjust both chat volume and game volume

Go into settings in the PS3 and turn the mic output up to 5 should help others hear you

There's a Rockstar newswire article relating to the next gen launch which confirms heists will appear on the PS3 and XBox too. I'm glad I'm not getting rid of my PS3; wonder how much I'll use it though?

I think hesits will add a really good missing element from the online play. The 1st person looks great, just can't justify getting a PS4 at the moment!

Anyone else have difficulties getting online last night? I wasn't being deliberately antisocial; I kept trying to join people and not being able to, then couldn't get online at all for ages (Rockstar servers down was the message, though I could see other people online so wasn't sure that was true). Even after resetting my PS3 and router I couldn't join anyone so I gave up and went to bed.

I gave up in the end. I messaged Jim and it was happening to him but he was able to get online!!

I quit the game and loaded back up and it was fine.
