PS3 GTA Online Thread

I'll be on tomorrow night on PS3 from 20:00-23:30 but be playing under ak_karousaki
As I will be baby sitting while Andy is at work nightshift

Will do a mission marathon as getting andys level up at same time

I might be on thenish maybe I guess. Lost the will a bit as there's no future in it for me.
Now that it's launched for PS4/bone, are there heists? Or anything new on PS3?
Anyone figured out if you carry over your property/cars/clothes?

Heists are coming on the next DLC according to R*, whether you believe that or not is up to you!

Yes, when you transfer characters EVERYTHING goes with you.
Clothes, houses, cars, levels, money, weapons, Pegasus stuff, etc etc.
Also, if you have a 2nd character, everything transfers for that too.

It really is well worth trying to scrape together or save for a PS4 if you love the PS3 version.
It is a lot more than "just nicer graphics", there are tons of other changes too

Ok, nice that they've made that work at least, but R* have p**sed me off enough that I don't want to give them any more money. I've already mentally assigned the money to other causes.. vroomy causes

I finally got my copy (well, a replacement) last night and managed to get online a bit after 10pm. It does feel good, but not massively different; to be honest, the nicer graphics aren't all that relevant until you stop and look at them because it's still the Los Santos you know and love, and have been residing in for ages already.

The PS4 controller feels odd so far; I've probably not been on for even 2 hours yet so I haven't got used to it, but the finer control of the throttle is great. I think the two main reasons for upgrading for me are the number of friends who have moved across (though I'm torn because I don't want to ignore friends who are still on PS3) and the future updates which will inevitably come on PS4 to make it bigger and better.

How is the hedge deformation on the PS4?

Don't know yet; I shall find out tonight. Driving or walking on sand is much stickier though, so I suspect there are plenty of other mechanics which differ.

Is it still random which ones are made from titanium? Or are they all actually bushes on ps4?

Same as the PS3, I always thought it was the lower ones you could drive through and the taller ones you can't

I'm not sure if I've started to see the difference between types of bush or whether I've just got used to where the ones you can drive through are located, but I haven't had a problem with it for a while. Trees have visible trunks if they're big enough; those are solid. Bushes which are square are generally solid, other than the ones you parked on above. Fluffier low bushes are generally not solid.

I can't for the life of me get anything to load in the playlists > challenges tab in the online start menu.

Any pointers?

I've read that lots of money can be earned from them?

I'm not sure the challenges ever worked on PS3; I think that may be a new gen thing. Haven't tried it myself yet... I've read there's potential to lose $250k as well.

It's odd, I read on gtaforums, a comment about the lack of online heists, someone replied that challenges have always given 250k yet nobody seems to care, or something along those lines. Implying that they have always been available?
