- Proximity Indicator & damage displayer follow GUI

I'm assuming that's referring to the anomalies I posted above regarding the tyres response to combined lateral and longitudinal grip. smile

Not done a race as such but I did load up the 11 supercar race at Silverstone to check frame rates. Even with my maxxed out settings with 11 cars on screen my normally vysnced 60fps only dropped to 44. So I think I can maintain 60 by dropping the cube map faces settings quite easily. smile

I've only tried the Silverstone supercar race and with cubemaps and faces per frame turned down it runs without any lag and looks great. AI isnt the greatest but good enough for a first pass and breaks the monotony of driving on an empty track.

I take it you guys have all downloaded Joux Pain have you? Makes all the woes of not having AI go away!

Lots more mods in development too it would seem. Lancia 037, Nissan Primera and a Mallory park are just a few i've seen!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HE_-WvdpMhI - ETA, this guy is absolutely unbelievable! I have no idea how he's so quick.

Just tried the update :-) The Evora is nice and the 1M ok. Racing's fun, although they're rather aggressive! biggrin

Seems there is already going to be a quick update from Kunos to start sorting the key things that have already been mentioned on the main game forums.

I'll have to have a bash tonight when I'm home from work.

There is now a way to open up custom races...

Go to the following:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\assettocorsa\launcher\themes\default\modules\earlyaccess

Open up the earlyaccess.js file in Notepad

Edit the following line:

"#drive .tabs li[data-mode=quickrace]"

and add two forward slash to the front so it looks like this:

//"#drive .tabs li[data-mode=quickrace]"

Save the file. Start up AC and you now have access to 'Quick Race' menu. That will allow you to have a custom race and pick any car/track combinations (including multiple classes)

Not all the cars have AI embedded so they will still work but act very erratically! For instance, if you want to see a field of F40's reversing down the track at Imola, then fill yer boots.

As a general rule of thumb, if it works ok in the special events then it will work ok using this workaround. (BMW 1M also works).

  • Disclaimer. Don't blame me if you cock it up and AC stops working.

Just started up steam and I noticed a little update download.

No mention of what it was though.

Bump!

How's everyone getting on with the latest updates?

I'd been having an issue with stuttering graphics during AI or online races which seems to have been resolved in the last update.

I've had a few enjoyable online races recently round Monza in the 98T.

Anyone else doing much online racing, any good servers to look out for?

Hadn't touched it for a couple of months until yesterday. 98T is a blast for sure, especially with qually tyres and turbo boost level.

To be honest I'm getting bored of the limited content so tried a few mods, I'd highly recommend the AC Cobra and Chevy Daytona Prototype plus Salzburgring and Blackwood tracks. None are fully finished yet but are much more polished than most other mods out there and they are brilliant.
