Half price(£15) on Steam this weekend. Unsure as to getting it,not sure laptop will handle it well, but Im getting a new PC soonish anyway, but Im also not that good with the GT/GTR cars,I prefer the slower ones in FM5 for example.
And with pCars,FH2 & the Crew on XBone soon, wonder if its worth it. Convince me folks smile

Bought it. Don't have my steering wheel so won't be able to play it yet though...

I use an X Box 360 controller with the PC.

I'm a hardcore sim person... considering buying a Logitech G27 for the ultimate force feedback!

Cheers for the heads up! Just finished downloading this now.

Going waste yet another Friday night playing driving games...

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrm, I suppose this is going to take some 'setting up'.

It feels great. The FF is absolutely on the ball and you're seriously punished if you don't rev-match, which is brilliant, but... the camera options are effectively only in-car (which I hate) or on the bonnet, which feels a little high. On the nose there's no weight transfer, which just feels crap. And nobody should ever use the chase-cam.

The graphics are a little bland - even compared to GT6. I could have stuck with Race 07, which cost £3 and came out in, you know, 07, and it looks nearly as good.

I know it's not finished, and it feels like a great sim. But, as it stands, I'm a little disappointed.

(that said, I was disappointed with Race 07 at first. It just needed some 'setting up', then it was ace)

Ditto (on the price and the upcoming PC, hopefully).

Though it's a lot more difficult with an xbox controller than race 07/GTR Evo - I think the steering lock is to blame (full left on race 07 is a sensible amount of lock for track, here it's an almost guaranteed crash). Looking for mods to reduce max. lock to sensible levels.

That said, maybe MS released a driver update but for everything else I've used the left and right triggers have always showed up as opposed axis, so applying brake and throttle simultaneously isn't possible... but it is on this.

It's still there. And a GT4 version.

Is anybody using the Oculus Rift DK2 with Assetto Corsa?

BTW, Currys have the Logitech G27 on special offer @£169

I've been giving this another go and it's absolutely superb. The feedback is the best I've experienced.

If I had an Oculus Rift, there's a very real chance I'd never leave the house again.

I'm holding out for the retail kit, although I know its going to be a fair way off still. Would love to hear from anyone using DK2 though!

Is OR support in the latest version?

I have both, I'll let you know what it's like when I get a chance.

I've since found that it's supported in the very soon to be released version so it's just DK1 support for now

Yup, that's what I found as well.
There is an OR option in the graphics menu but it doesn't seem to work with the DK2. Looks like I'll have to wait for full v1 of AC to try it out.

I'm also hoping iRacing has it in the next release.
