Basically speaking with other addons if the SFX folder has a .bank file in it the sound works in V1, if it's a mass of wav files then it won't.
Temp sound fix for the current F1 2014 mod on here - http://thesimreview.blogspot.com.es/
(uses Lotus T125 sounds instead for all)

A couple of one lap replays I captured with FOM TV cameras.

I had a go at this, with keyboard, and it's a mixture of great (the game) and horrible (the input method).
God lord I'm slow. A mix of keyboard and my innate lack of talent.
Can anyone give me their lap time for taking an Abarth 500 around Vallelunga Club?
I can manage it in 1:05.something after a lot of laps with diminishing returns, and I just watched a YouTube video of someone winning a race and doing it in 1:02.717, so I can't be that far off, but I'm not convinced I can wring much more out of it without a wheel.
On that subject, the OH will be quite unimpressed if I buy a wheel without otherwise reducing my inclination to sit in front of my PC all day (not entirely unreasonable), so a bit nonplussed!

Has anyone successfully set up a gamepad/controller for this?
I've realised I've picked it up to play maybe 3 times in more months and gave up because it seems there's no set up for dead zones making driving a snakey affair.
p.s. I have a wheel, I hate them the whys and hows are too greater discussion to bother with.

If you have a google on controller settings, there are some pretty good ones out there. I think some of the quickest 'drivers' have their settings available to be used.
No match for a wheel obviously but still good fun
I think I've managed to get something usable based off the settings google gives, bit of a pick and mix and testing as I'm using an xbox controller but it's using non-standard drivers to give a seperate throttle/brake (default drivers combine them, which sucks). No match for a wheel obviously but still good fun
Still, the Lotus 80's F1 car with the turbo at 100%! Tehheheh, so much fun for a computer game and the sounds work well
Just downloading the ring, I did 100's of laps of it in rFactor so going to see if I remember my way around.

Snoopy's ring is excellent (oo er). I've had more fun with the mods than most of the actual content Still, the Lotus 80's F1 car with the turbo at 100%! Tehheheh, so much fun for a computer game and the sounds work well

That brake mod looks good Mike, you still got the S2000?Mikes2k said:
Hi Paul, yes still have the s2000. Can't bring myself to sell it, too much fun.
The brake mod is very good, it realise on pressure on the pedal rather then distance pushed
One of my neighbours just bought one too and if I sold the M3 I think that's what I'd replace it with. I'll look in to that, that's the thing that I don't like about the G25 brake pedal is that it feels like braking in a car when you've cooked the brakes. The brake mod is very good, it realise on pressure on the pedal rather then distance pushed
So, I might have cheated and bought a G27 already. Apart from the mass of wiring, much better - I'm barely any quicker, but also not really any slower with manual clutch & gears, which is satisfying at least.
I guess I need to read through this thread properly. What's the multiplayer situation like?
