A Lamborghini licence, and lots of cars coming in the first DLC pack.

"Alfa Romeo’s 4c, 155 DTM and GTA, the McLaren’s P1 and F1 GTR, the Nissan GT-R Nismo 2014 GT3, the GM Corvette C7R GTE, the Mercedes 190 DTM and Sauber-C9 and the BMW M235iRacing VLN."

Plus the Nordschleife.

DLC or paid DLC?

Also are all these 2015 updates coming for free, ie, the ones that are not just content related?

Or is it time to open up the wallet to experience the additional features that will be added during 2015?

It's not really clear what you get as part of the original pre-order purchase, and what will be paid for extras as actual content expansions.

Hmmmm

Dave,

You are quite critical of a game that cost £15! Perhaps I am easily pleased...

I enjoy it on my old Microsoft Sidewinder worth about £2.50. There is something pretty entertaining about sliding around the outside of a (poorly driven it must be said) F40 in a DTM E30 M3 on the Nordschleife.

I don't play it for hours and hours, but enjoy a blast in something that slides around on the ring.

Thanks,

Jon

It'll almost certainly be paid DLC, which is absolutely fine by me. Looking forward to it.

The proof is in the pudding as they say as tbh if their version of the ring is good/accurate enough it'd be worth the cost of any DLC alone, though they seem to be dragging its release out and we're stuck with the Snoopy version which while ok isn't perfect in terms of the track or the visuals.

It's laser scanned, so if it's as good as the other such tracks, I'll be happy. I've never driven any though so someone else can probably pick at accuracy somehow or other.

I've paid a very modest sum for a sim containing laser scanned tracks and accurately measured cars, developed with years of toil from hard working developers, and giving me hours of fun for years on end. I genuinely don't mind paying for DLC - I'd have quite happily paid £100 for the base sim to be honest.

And it's nothing compared to the amount you could spend on DLC for Microsoft Flight Simulator X or Railworks/Train Simulator 2015.

yes I feel the same about FSX - it's such a detailed and extensive sim with years of enjoyment to be had.

Same here, spent a ton on FSX,but working it out per hour spent flying, its pretty cheap, especially compared to the real thing! Plus you can get tons of free stuff, just like AC

But I'm sure the pre-order people got the first DLC free, or that was suggested many moons ago.

By now I'm completely lost what we're actually getting for having pre-ordered it, and what we won't get for free etc.

Ie, it sounded like some DLC packs into the future will offer functional updates but surely functional stuff will be free otherwise you'll have mis-match capabilities maybe? Ie, pit stops or 24hr racing modes.

Just their plans have kinda drifted around a bit which is fine, but it'd just be nice to know what my pre-order version will get me moving forward and what features will be added for free, and what features or content additions will be pay versions smile

The monitor looks awesome for gaming with a 1ms response time!! Don't be too downhearted if CF doesn't work well with AC - I got a lot of flickering when I tried and ended up buying one top of the range card instead of two slightly less good ones - they may have solved the issue now though. I'd definitely get a wheel and pedals too, unless you forgot to list them?

I run 3 of these and they're a great monitor for the price.

Just a little pissed they've discounted them this week though. I literally upgrade to triples last week. frown
1ms, slim bezels and VESA mounts, just the job. If you read th review section there's text on how to force the Nvidia control panel to Overclockers them which makes them much better. smile

I currently am getting about 120fps on single player and think it was around 60-70 fps with 20 cars on the track, not really messed with anything yet so I can live with that from one card.

I'm getting a wheel tonight got the G27 and Pedals, so will give it another whirl, the monitor was chosen more for CSGO which I play I use to have the Vision Master 454 way back in the day and having 120hz was a dream back then for CS.

The G27 is what I have and I love it. Logitech stuff is also supremely well made and tends to last years.

Ah the good old VM Pro.

I had a 451 for about 6 years from 2000 ish to 2006 ish. It spent many hours showing the CS or CSS graphics at high FPS hehe smile

They were also solid screens for gfx work, and they lasted ages too, my sister in law had mine for photo work until 2012 or so when the AG coating wiped off when cleaning... ooops!

Amazing VFM considering they were about £400 or so when new all those years ago, and that they did colours, graphics and games so well!
