It's an App that integrates into the software and once you're signed up etc... it automatically syncs with the leaderboards on the website in real time.

Its pretty cool and a great way to benchmark yourself and run these team trials.

I should add that for Pro status on RSR, it's all driving aids off. Sometimes different to the in-game 'Pro' settings which can sometimes have ABS or TC on as standard depending on the car.

RSR is a little app that, once installed, you can start and run whilst you're driving in AC. It records all your laps and uploads your best to its server, so in real time you can see where you stack up relative to everyone else. You can look at everyone's lap times on the RSR website. RSR checks that you haven't taken any shortcuts (it'll show a blank lap if you stray too much over an exit curb etc) and it'll make sure you're running with the right weather settings (I think it expects the standard for 'Pro' mode, but I may be wrong).

I won't be able to take part this time I'm afraid as ironically I've got two jobs to try and pay for racing, so I'm working in evenings and weekends as well as the 9-5. I've bookmarked the thread though so will join you when I have the time. driving

Are you sure about this? You can try it and see what comes out to be sure, but:

You will be able to use the default settings for ABS & TC of the cars that uses electronics.

Hoovering on the ABS icon you can see the maximum %ABS that can be used. You can also disable the ABS if you want with CTRL+A.

I don't tend to get on very well without ABS redface

Umm - dunno then.

When I looked at RSR earlier for the BMW GT2 times at Spa, the 'P' only showed up on times with all aids off. I think the car is with TC on in the game Pro settings.

I'll check later.

Let's just stick with the in-game pro settings for which ever car we're in. Makes things far easier.

^ It's because, for whatever reason, the RSR 'Assists' section doesn't directly reflect the actual settings. So I've got mine set to Pro in game, but ABS & TC are 'factory', and yet it gives me this:

I think it's intentional but not sure. Anyway I need to get working on my familiarity with that car and track, so will be a few days before I post up a time.

Ok.

I've put a marker lap time up on RSR. Should be room for improvement on that.

Oof! That's 13th out of 460, no?

Not a chance of getting close to that!

Shall we resurrect the old thread here?

We can keep the same format going. Switch track / combo each Sunday (I think it was).

Resurrect it if you want - definitely worth a separate thread - but the old records are probably incomparable now as so much has changed.

So it turns out I've got about 20 seconds to lose there. Err, yeah. Can't see that happening any time soon boxedin

You'd be surprised - the times drop significantly early on.

It's the last 10ths that are the killer.

Trying to find a half-decent wheel at the moment.

I don't want the G27 (!) - I like the idea of the sequential that you get on the G25. They're all very competitively priced!
I was even toying with going back to my old Saitek R660........

Would prefer a G25 though.

True - 5 seconds off just now, and would have been at least a couple more if I hadn't binned it at whatever the two fast corners in quick succession are called.

I've got the pre-order in.

I assume Steam will just download whenever?

Yep, should do, just like normal updates.

If there is a PH server then I will join in for a blast around. Not sure what car though!
