I've had a lot of fun drifting the SLS, Yellowbird and LaFerrari. Mind you, it's not drifting like the competitive sport, it's more like what Chris Harris does.

Handles ok, I thought you could change more setup options on the real car though (ARB, rake, etc). Headlights look way too small in cockpit view. I posted a hot-lap challenge at Donny on the other thread but no takers frown

Hope they make a R500 variant, that will be fun.
I'd love to do the hot lap challenge, but sadly I don't have much time free at the moment. I tend to play more sims and games in the winter, so will definitely be up for it then.

I've done a few races in a Roadsport A Caterham and with that you could change ARBs, ride heights and geo. We had full racing suspension though, so I'm not sure about the Academy.

The R500 on RFactor was one of my favourite cars - great fun! smile

I saw that, yes. There are other improvements too such as the tyre model. Still no more racing cars though frown You'd think a track driving sim would include, err... track cars! hehe

Are these paid DLC again?

Interesting, I refused to buy the dream car pack DLC because I was an early adopter and should have got DLC for free and also because as an early adopter I got fed up of a half finished game with no real racing in sight just a track simulator.

Same here.

I could have sworn some time last year they'd mentioned early access buyers would get the first DLC free, but something changed.

It's nice to see new content though, however I'd prefer to see the game engine itself finished fully using the money I've sent their way, rather than new content either paid or free for a half finished simulation.

RobM77, I agree, kinda.

I see lots of road cars but mostly racing circuits.

I'd prefer to see some laser scanned real roads, like the test roads for the Ferrari factory or something interesting like that.

There was an earlier package of cars/tracks that formed part of the 'free DLC'. It wasn't very well communicated to be fair.

Audi Quattro is a rather amusing drive it has to be said with the latest content. It's had me swap back from Project Cars it's such fun.

Had a drive of the GTR Nismo, I'm not sure how good the awd felt really.

I've not really been following things but I'm guessing awd systems are in and fully featured now?

Given the GTR and Quattro are two fairly distinct awd types I'm assuming they work as per reality?

Will test more again later!

I've never driven an AWD car so I can't comment as to whether they are realistic in that respect. However, the AWD system in the Audi does some very different things to the one in the Nissan.

I'm not really a fan of the Nissan system, it seems somewhat unpredictable. Sometimes it's quite happy allowing me to exit corners with a slight powerslide, and other times it sends more power to the front - occasionally mid corner - and I have to re-adjust the car's balance.
Perhaps it's just a case of having to learn to drive it in a particular way.

The Audi system doesn't try to be so clever and it much better for it, it's more like a traditional RWD really.

Sounds much like the Celica Carlos Sainz I used to own! That was my first and last AWD car. I've exclusively owned RWD cars since with electronic aids that can be switched off and manual gearboxes smile

Apologies if a re-post but has anyone tried the MP4-13 and Formula Renault 3.5 mods for AC?

Located here http://www.virtuasimulazioni.com/mclaren-mp4-13/

Downloaded both the other day and they're rather good smile

Their insistence on repeatedly messing with the tyre physics is starting to get annoying to me, how much more can they 'improve' it before it's sufficient? The latest iteration now seems to just cause more understeer, all the cars using it seem to now be biassed singificantly more to understeer rather than oversteer or neutrality.

It's made me not feel any need to purchase yet again more DLC.

I bought a new G29 and thought I would try this again. My word the graphics are just terrible - so flat and lifeless. I've been spoilt by PC and dirt rally I think. Decent enough physics model though.

Quite agree re the DLC though. Way too little content compared to its contemporaries.
