Time vacuum, I think the only reason my last "play" was 2020 was just before I uninstalled it after not playing for a while and used it to test a new GPU.
Just reinstalling for London too and my install size has jumped from the 36GB above to 98GB !There can't be 60GB of stability, mods and bug fixes!!
I haven't played Fo4 in years but still have it installed. My installation is so full of mods, including Sim Settlements, all of which are now years out of date, that if I were to play again I would be better off uninstalling it, doing a full clean, and then a fresh install.
For existing players, one mod that I remember being quite interesting in concept (but never installed) was one where you are a synth and you get to decide where you are placed. In other words, you get to skip the standard Vault Dweller start and you commence the game in a role of your choosing.
Seems like an interesting alternative.
edit: I have no idea how this fits in with the main storyline though!

Has there been a texture update? That would account for the jump in size. There can't be 60GB of stability, mods and bug fixes!!

Ah, this is the reason, 58GB high resolution pack, that doesn't show in dl size until you start downloading.
The rubbish HD pack that is done so much better via Nexus.
Personally I'd wait 6 days until Bethesda's "Next-Gen Console" update on the 25th as it will apparently have 4K textures for PC too. The rubbish HD pack that is done so much better via Nexus.

There's meant to be lots optimisations so it will be Steam Deck verified, patiently waiting for the update before playing it again after a decade.https://twitter.com/BethesdaStudios/status/1781326...

I put 50 hours into F3 and now I'm about 8 hours into F4.
I lock it at 60fps and so fare it's pretty much never dropped from that, if it does it's only by 2 or 3 frames.
Runs really well on Deck and definitely doesn't need the update as it already looks amazing on the small screen.
