No, because the glitches will be patched, probably on the day the game is released. Most things have a day one patch now. Gone, long gone, are the days of buying a disc of a game that was bugged when it was released and being stuck with it like that.
I had decided a long time ago to make a point of not getting it in the first six months of its release as bugs will undoubtedly be plentiful as in past fallout games, quite a few making them unplayable, but I love fallout so decided to ignore my own better judgement.

I learned the hard way to install the last two and keep making new saves in case the old one corrupted. I see Fallout 3 and NV as somewhat akin to driving a classic car - performance isn't great, objectively full of flaws, could break down at any moment, yet full of character

Simply the best gaming news since I completed the 3 and Vegas twice. Will be giddy when it arrives.

Really looking forward to this there are only so many times you can replay New Vegas and Skyrim although Wolfenstien 1 & 2 have filled the spot for a while.

Has anyone tried re-playing Fo3 on the PC lately? Does it still work now that Windows Live has been shut down?

Edit: Mind you, although I have the physical media for the original game, and although I notionally own all the DLCs (but don't think I have media for them), I might be better off just re-buying it. Steam have the GotY Edition with all DLC on sale for the next 31 hours at £8.99

Have you tried activating it on Steam?

You can put your retail cd keys in Steam and see if it works.

List here, New Vegas works -https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7480-WUSF-3601

Oh, good call! I will try that first. Thanks! thumbup

Edit: No, that's not going to work. My copy is the physical media original Windows Live version. Steam will only let me add it as a "non-Steam" game and wants me to install it first.
I think that for the sake of £8.99, I might just re-buy it on Steam. Job done. smile

It was Bethesda's keynote last night. I would suggest everyone watches the gameplay videos. fnarr

Roll on November! CAN. NOT. WAIT!

It looks bloody good. Character talking will be a point of contention with some, but I don't mind it. Good to see V.A.T.S. back! Will be interesting to find out why you were in the vault for so long without realising it!

Have it pre-ordered, so now it is just a waiting game.

Can't wait. Counting down the days (must say days as months seems too long)

And the special edition Pip-Boy is huge, it's even bigger than a Moto 360 ! rofl

Their announce comment for it was awesome smile

Something like "yeah second screen experiences can be a bit gimmicky...but this is the best f*cking gimmick you're going to get!"

It looks awesome, but my wife would give me a look that I just couldn't deal with.

If the Pip-Boy was really that big, it should be a weapon in its own right!

So tempted for the limited edition, even if the app works without the Pip Boy case...

In the game they don't have the benefit of transistors, so that'd be a tiny little CRT on your wrist. I bet they have one arm far stronger than 'tother in those vaults.
