I am so into this game right now. I got over 30 Fusion Cores so I'm never out of it!
Mega short of aluminum to keep it in good shape and do the tasty gun mods.
I've found the best thing to buy with is... money! It's everywhere and each bit is worth 8 caps and it doesn't weigh anything.
The guy voicing Nick Valentine is absolutely spot on, and I can't wait to start the Winter's End mission or something which is something to do with the guy he's programmed from.
Utterly utterly superb.
The way I do it is collect as much ammo as possible if you have the perk then buy your aluminium and sell the ammo you don't use. I also make/find Grape Mentats which give you a bargaining edge. I also pick up ally cans but the ammo weighs nothing so you can use that as your currency. Mega short of aluminum to keep it in good shape and do the tasty gun mods.

You need to assign settlers to tend the crops. Each settler can tend about 6, I think.
Having said that, I do have some crops that never yield harvest and I can't select or remove. I think that might be a bug. Fortunately I only have about 6 like that.
I can't even assign anyone to them. I can't harvest, they don't glow green to assign... Having said that, I do have some crops that never yield harvest and I can't select or remove. I think that might be a bug. Fortunately I only have about 6 like that.
If anyone wants a good, renewable, source of Steel and Fibre Optics and doesn't mind that it's a borderline exploit then at Jamaica Plain, down in the basement where all the laser tripwires are, you can rest the tripwires by opening and closing the door at the end of the corridor by using the button. Disarm each tripwire, then rinse and repeat for as long as you can bear the tedium of doing so.
Went to the Corvega plant today (level 21 with some choicest weapons... Reba II, Suppressed 10mm pretty much fully upgraded, .45 combat sniper with large mag). Bloody good fun, lots and lots of raiders in and out of the building. All of them pretty much 1 shot kills with the 10mm. Looted a lot of drugs, stimpaks and ammo. Good times.

Bloody glowing legendary mirelurk. Maybe I am just not high enough level yet, but these things seem invincible! I got a direct hit with a fatman. No effect. Got a bottle cap mine on it.... no effect. I ended up in many pieces because it went off too close. I was reading about the gamma gun and it says +50% damage on Mirelurks. Must be broken as it does the square-root of naff all to them.
.308 to the face seems to do decent damage. But again, not to the glowing ones. I just need to get past him so I can turn on this dudes turrets and get a hold of a special sniper rifle called the Overseers Protector, or something to that effect. Or is it Reba II?
Got to hit them in the face, shotgun in the face sorts them out usually OR... OR currently just a super sledge anywhere on them :]Bloody glowing legendary mirelurk. It's the Reba 2 that you get. Just dose 50% more damage to bugs. If you want the Overseers Protector you need to buy it from the nice lady in vault 81. Well worth the circa 2500 caps! Mine still a .45 and dose 130 damage per shot! That's better than my 50 cal sniper! Lol
Are there any other really good guns in the game?
Moved up the road to the Children of Atom camp. What a bunch of bds. Retreating to the church of witch craft wasn't the best of ideas either. In fact, a whole other world of pain! Hint I think you need to be level 50 to stand a chance!

Once the brotherhood had killed them all I dropped the two of them and stole the parts of there power armour. So it dose pay to investigate gunfire some times.
Anyone managed to shoot the fusion core out of power armour yet?

Question. Is there an easier way to change a fusion core than getting out of the armour?
Yes. Just let it run out and it will be swapped for another one automatically. However, you will lose the empty and a fusion core with only 1% remaining is worth something when selling.ZedLeg said:
As far as aluminium goes, TV dinner trays are your friends. I think alarm clocks have a bit in them as well as some nuclear material.
FYI You can mark a resource you need (such as aluminium) and then any junk item you come across in the world that contains said resource has a magnifying glass next to it. Otispunkmeyer said:

Yeah I enjoyed Corvega. I did it at level 8 with mostly a laser musket.Daniel1 said:

I would try it but can't find dogmeat.
