I didnt go for the GOTY because im tight as someone said about it being too easy with extra armour etc. If i feel its missing im sure i can get them packs in the Xbox Marketplace.
Oh it was only easy if you knew where to go to make it too easy, it isn't in reality.

I've just reinstalled FO3.

Glad I also did a 3x DVD backup of it as well with all the mods & ENB files I had installed, just copied them onto the reinstall and away I go again from where I left it.
Oof that sounds like a good idea. Mods are fiddly sods (less so nowadays).
they only thing I have now changed is the ENB, from Midhrastic to this one that's for New Vegas but I like it - http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55076/?

FO3 and FONV ENBs are interchangeable, at least I've never found a problem.

If you don't get an official Pip-Boy there are alternatives - http://www.gottabemobile.com/2015/07/01/fallout-4-...

They are FO3 style though with the dials on the wrong side (left side)

But you can get way ahead of the normal story arc (and the equipment levels) by doing the DLCs early.

I'd recommend getting the GOTY but don't play the DLCs for ages and ages - then you get the real FO3 experience of being a complete weed for a long time.

I've played through a few times and the best thing is the struggle; being genuinely worried when you first get to that Police Station full of Super Mutants, for instance.

Its tempting to think it will be better if you are much harder to kill and can beat anything, but its actually boring.

Oh, that is true. Yes. But I wasn't advocating that. What I meant to say is that, in my opinion, you need Broken Steel (which can't be played until the end of the main story arc, as I recall, as it follows on from the end of the main story arc and indeed modifies the ending of the main game) in order to complete the story. Or, rather, the story is incomplete without it.

I was genuinely worried every time I had to enter a building!

Dammit, looks like I'm going to have to fired up FO3 again for another play through. I'll have to try a build a different character this time though, I always find myself doing the same thing when I restart a game...

Well, this is encouraging...

Rather than "out of stock" it now says "check back later today".

I recommend playing as a right piece of scum on one playthrough, including blowing up Megaton and then assassinating Mr. Tenpenny after he's rewarded you for doing so and also directing the super-weapon at the BoS bunker rather than the Enclave base at the end of Broken Steel. smile

They have limited stock in stores today, should be a few available online. They are updating on their twitter feed.

Their Twitter says that they will be updating the website "soon". Meanwhile, people who have been queuing up in person outside the doors of the physical shops are tweeting about how they managed to get one.

According to GAME (via their Facebook page), the 9am release was in relation to in store pre-orders only. Apparently, online pre-orders will be available later this morning. A bit annoying, considering orders are on a 'first come, first served' basis with very little stock. It's a little bit awkward constantly refreshing the same page whilst at work ... I can't be subtle about it either!

I'll just keep checking every now and again, expecting to miss out. If I do manage to snag one, then it was meant to be ...

Indeed. Fortunately my colleagues are sympathetic - many are gamers and some are big fans of the game too. So people are even occasionally asking me if I've got it yet. smile

They said on Twitter it wouldn't work from a mobile device. I've decided I don't need a pip boy.
