Back on Fallout 3, playing on from my old saved game where I thought I had finished everything. I just opened the consoled and types tmm 1,0,0 to show all map icons with undiscovered locations as non-fast travel and there were some on there!
Ah, the joy of new locations in Fallout, it's like playing Fallout 4.
Speaking of which - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/21503/?

Ah... that's the key bit of info I needed! I did a tmm in Fo3 and all map markers got revealed and set to visited. Which I didn't want. So I reverted by loading a previous save. I'll try again with those parameters. Thanks! In the meantime, I replayed Point Lookout and took this pic which I'm quite pleased with.
If you didn't get sucessful with the Pipboy 3000 edition before it sold out, how about the Mighty Bundle - http://www.gottabemobile.com/2015/07/22/fallout-4-...

· Your dog, Dogmeat, can be given commands to retrieve objects for the player. In addition he can also loot enemies.
· The leveling system has been tweaked so that perks are tied to your SPECIAL (Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, Luck) stats instead of levels. Having a high SPECIAL stat will provide players earlier access to advanced perks from the start.
· Hacking Terminals and Lock picking will return.
· 12 companions will be available in the game and each can be romanced no matter the player’s gender. Only one companion can be used at a time. Dogmeat, Codsworth, Preston Garvey, and Piper are some of the companions.
· You can wonder alone companion-less if you like and earn a perk for not using a companion.
· Other towns which will be revisited are both Lexington and Quincy.
· Codsworth, the Mr. Handy robot, is voiced by Stephen Russel the voice actor of Garret from the original Thief.
· Thousands of names have been pre-recorded, which allows NPC's to call out your name.
· A variety of weapons will be made available from previous games such as the Fat-Man mini-nuke, sniper rifles, makeshift weapons and wind-up laser shotguns.
· Stealth can be used to avoid conflict between enemies or from being detected. Players can also hack various things such as a security bot to let the bot do the work.
· Playing off enemy factions against another is one of the major points in the game.
· Radiation will lower the maximum health of the player. This will continue until the radiation is no longer present in the player's system.

So I could romance DogMeat or Codsworth?
At least you're romancing the bot this time instead of paying it... ergh, FISTO.Guys, can you help me on fallout 3? I'm struggling to progress well in this game. I'm so short on ammo and caps. I'm looting and selling everything I can but I always seems to be on bare minimum ammo. Also, enemies don't spawn back in the wasteland, so I can't farm. Is this correct?
Where are the 'good' areas for a beginner?

How far in the game are you? I've started a new playthrough and I'm just helping around Megaton at the moment to build up XP (before I blow it up ), and I have built up quite a few caps and I am not short of ammo... I am limiting myself to a small selection of weapons though so I can sell any ammo I find but don't use. Energy cells and railway spikes are a favourite for this.Where are the 'good' areas for a beginner?
Also no, enemies don't spawn back (thankfully!).

I've never played a Fallout game, what's the coup? Is it like Oblivion/Skyrim, sandbox with lots of quests and a main plot you can dip in and out of?
It sure is. And amusing things too - for example in a town there is a nuclear bomb - you can either learn to disarm it, or set it off and blow the town to hell... There is also a hotel - you can either persuade them to allow in the "zombies" OR you can open up a secret door and let them in yourself, where they will then kill all the "humans"...... OR kill all the zombies.....
Oh, you can pickpocket and try to steal.. Sometimes you can reverse pickpocket and plant a live grenade - then you watch them walk away....... Kabooooom...
So much fun.
And callmedave - you don't do farming. Ammo etc is scarce at the start - you need to find the shops to buy it - Megaton, Underworld and the Ship. Also your weapons are poor. You run a lot..... Until you build up experience and skills etc Also scavenge everywhere, collect as much as you can and sell....

It sounds like their first playthrough, so it might be an idea to put that stuff in spoiler tags (like I've done when quoting you - feel free to cut & paste)There is also a hotel - you can either persuade them to allow in the "zombies" OR you can open up a secret door and let them in yourself, where they will then kill all the "humans"......
