Still not seen an ancient behemoth...
I know I've said this before, way back earlier in the thread, but it's things like this that really betray the fact that Fo4 is built on the Skyrim engine. In Skyrim, it is perfectly within lore to have enchanted armour and weapons, and for foes to have enchantments that make them tougher or have special magical abilities like regenerating their health and the like. It just jarrs for me in Fo4 as Bethesda haven't really given any kind of plausible explanation for it. Ok, at a push, a Super Mutant could have mutated even further, I guess. But hopefully people get what I'm trying to say.

I get what you mean but I still like all the armour and weapons I have with special abilities!

Or more likely magic? Not sure how science, or even aliens, can explain a wooden baseball bat that causes cryo or fire damage. Magic would though.
I know it's just a video game, and a sci-fi one at that, but you know what I mean. It's a clear indicator that Fo4 is built on Skyrim. I'm surprised Bethesda didn't shoehorn in the Dragon Shouts as well. Fus-Ro-Daaaa!!!

Well you don't have to use the 'magic' items! hahaNot sure how science, or even aliens, can explain a wooden baseball bat that causes cryo or fire damage. Magic would though.

Although I wonder if anyone will mod Dragon Shouts into Fallout 4 on the PC...

If you give all your settlers laser weapons, sit back and watch the fireworks show. Its very cool! Red lasers from the defenders vs blue lasers of the attackers!
Do you also have to give them (and keep them supplied with) fusion cells (like your companions) or will they have an infinite supply?daddy cool said:

You need to give settlers 1 ammo for what ever gun you've given them. They won't use it up (at this stage, may be patched at some point). Also works with missile launchers, fat men etc... IF you're brave enough to give settlers mini nuke launchers..

Coolio. Well, last night i got all my 12 residents of the castle decked out in Vault suits with combat armour, and gave them a laser rifle each, so i'll give them some ammo tonight. Also works with missile launchers, fat men etc... IF you're brave enough to give settlers mini nuke launchers..
I'm planning on doing the same, vault suits of BOS suits combined with combat armour and big guns. Makes them able to defend better and makes it easy for me to see assigned and unassigned settlers better (at least until the patch is out for consoles). Plus it looks better than having a bunch of hobo's running around in my fortress.

Relative newby question as I'm only level 28, I seem to be spending half my gaming time running back and forth between settlements trying to keep them happy, they have enough beds/food/water what the feck else do they want?
Guns. Lots of guns. I also give them all silly hats. sidaorb said:

I just leave them to it now, but then I've finished the main questline and wasn't bothered by the whole settlement creation / maintenance guff but if are going that route then guns and defence seem to be what most folks on here are providing to their SimsGassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
