I can honestly say I wish I had not done this. It leaves you hopelessly overpowered. I wish I could go back and remove that last Lone Wanderer level.

I really do advise not doing it.
Each to their own, but a lot of gamers want to get the max power out of their weapons. You could always switch to hand combat or melee - try taking down a Mythic Deathclaw with a sword - you'll be there all day unless you sneak attack.

Yeah but who carries all the cr@p you collect on missions etc? Lol

And no I can't leave it behind! I know I have around 10 shipments of all the stuff that I need and a ton of junk back at base for crafting etc. but I still have to collect stuff. frown
Ah but Lone Wanderer gives you 100 extra carry capacity as well as reducing the damage you take AND boosting your gun damage, so you don't need that companion for luggage duties smile
But thanks to the drop it and get you companion to pick it up glitch mine can carry an unlimited amount! Comes in great when trying to harvest combat armour for villages. smile

Last night I bought this poster from Amazon to go on my wall at home. Sad, but true. smile

It was £3.99 and then I spent another £10.99 buying a frame for it at The Range when I was out today.

I like that but it's a bit big.

I agree. It sounds pretty big and I don't have a lot of wall space left as I love pop art. So it's a big investment in wall space. smile

Preston has told me to sort out some raiders at Bluff, instruction says to talk to settler there, but I can't find which one I need to speak to, when I try 'show on map' it just shows where I am at that time. Any ideas?

If you have this quest enabled then there should be a Quest Marker over the head of the person you need to talk to.

If not, you need to go into your quests and enable this one.

What about in the overall map? What ive had is the person i need to talk to is someone i have assigned to a supply route - so hes not actually at the correct settlement for the task, him might be at, say, Egret Marina. So i fast-travel there and his not there... look on the map and hes now halfway to another settlement... it can be quite a ballache tracking him down!

I'm level 24 or so now... I don't know actual time but would say 30 to 35 hours.
I'm barely touched the main quest.
I am doing missions for the Railroad (I really like deacon , he's funny) and Brotherhood of Steel. Haven't met the institute yet.

Finally finding ammo and money an issue with the relevant perks, can 1-2 hit super mutants.
rescued rex and unlocked strong (he's funny, go away bleeder) and just general fun faffing around.

I'm doing loads of side quests at the moment, doing the Siver shroud quest at the moment.
there's so much to do! :-)

On the PC, at least, your game saves tell you how long you have been playing at the point of save.

On console too, so long as you do a "Save" as opposed to a "Quicksave" - you do have to go back to the load game screen to see the time though as the time forms part of the save file name

I've had that .. Preston with his "I've got something different for you" (spoiler, erm no you haven't) "go and sort of these raiders that are bothering a settlement" only to find that it doesn't appear as a quest or as any sort of marker on the map

Ergo, it gets ignored

Someone needs to have a word with Blake Abernathy and tell him to keep a leash on his "bhes". About 3 times ive had to rescue Connie, and about twice Lucy. Apparently SuperMutants keep kidnapping them - and this has all happened since i walled in his farm and laced it up with heavy lasers and missile launchers.
Cant help thinking his womenfolk are sneaking off in the middle of the night and frequenting the sort of seedy nightclubs that the 'Supers go to, looking for some mutant loving.

On the other hand, all the female farm workers are naked, so maybe he's been too occupied with them and not paying his wife attention.

Last night I was fighting a Mythic Deathclaw near Virgil's cave using my newly found melee skills and Chinese sword. Toughest melee fight yet. My strategy was to dodge around the car wreck nearby, unleash a strike or two, then recharge my health when he was at the other side of the car. So what does he do after a few minutes of this, he picks the car up and chucks it 50m away, sprays me with his bad breath and closes in for the kill - Hilarious!! Well done to the programmers who wrote that part!

Yes it is. The Lone Wanderer perks turn you into a bit of a tank
To be honest I quite like it. Exploring and story finding/following is more my thing so the quicker I can dispose of annoyances the better.

Doesn't that mean you wont get anymore 'kidnapped or raider/ghouls' missions from Preston?
