A bit like all the other chems - absolutely nothing at all. Never taken any of them except for RadAway. I must have hundreds in the workshop at Sanctuary by now and I keep meaning to sell some of them off but traders / vendors simply don't have enough caps on them most of the time. So they gather virtual dust in the workshop.

I'm cruising around at level 65 now playing on very hard, the only goals I have at the moment is a) collecting all of the magazines (I've got 17 to go) and b) building a custom set of Power Armour specifically for exploring the Glowing Sea

After that, I think I'm probably done with it until the DLC / console mods appear

But there is no challenge enemy wise - Overseer's G / explosive shotgun & minigun / Spray 'n Pray make short work of more or less everything. Even The Last Minute barely gets a look in these days

Know what you mean. Mind you I was coming out of the trap door in Joe Spuckies diner after exiting Andrew's station and I got mobbed by Ms Rosa, the Parkers and friends inside the diner. They were all charred feral ghouls which are the toughest most aggressive ones. Couldnt use my explosive guns cos it was too confined, each giving off 30 rads per second - 7 of them so 210 rads per sec. I had to use my wounding sword to carve them all up and just escaped with a few mm of health. I love it when you bump in to them its sometime down a side street when you least expect it. Always the best fight you can have in the whole game.

Never had much luck trying to solo that guy and I've tried all sorts of hide away strategies, he always seemed to get me in the end. I may re-visit "The Handsome Collection" and give it another go once my time with Fallout 4 comes to a natural end
This is how I did it, although I was a zerker and used dual moxxi's with the bee:

Some of it is luck as to how the tentacles spawn/how quickly you take them down. The issue with the bee is once you're slightly hit, DPS drops considerably and the time to kill the tentacles increases significantly.

Still quite new to this, was watching some Youtube vids and decided to build a gateway at Castle.

Took hours, but is quite satisfying to see the result.

Gateway

And then a short one with a revised staircase and balcony

New stairs

Couple of funny things on the second video, I must be a vampire I have no shadow! and no idea why Dogmeat became a flying dog at the end.
Love that gateway, this game really needs a horde mode to test the defences. cool

Who have you got harvesting them? If its a named companion/one of the survivors you rescue at the start (preston etc), there's a known bug where they are farming what ever for the stat but fail to actually produce anything.

Best bet is to have them on guard posts. Or shops.
Well bugger... I've got the crazy old addict and mr. and mrs. Nagging bh' working the tatos. I'll assign them to the shops and get the shopkeepers on food duty then.
No one in sanctuary farms for me. They all tend to the veggies but I have to farm them to sell etc.

Some of my other settlements do but you don't get many. Always best to manually farm the crop and then have a look at a bench to see if you have some more.

Have found another legendary farm site - dont think this is one is on other websites - it is a very quick one less than 2 minutes from load to load and 2 easy kills.
The Shamrock Taphouse
Save and quicksave outside.
Autosaves as you go in.
Pass down bar, kill raider on LHS having a drink.
Turn right at end and go through first half broken door on RHS to toilet.
Kill raider sleeping in toilets
Enter kitchen
Open big blue double metal doors to cupboard
Kill radroach and legendary radroach
Farm as necessary
Repeat

Havent found the explosive minigun yet but plenty of other interesting stuff on offer. Havent tried to lock it yet as need to find basic minigun first.

I only farm for the ingredients for vegetable starch, and then only when I haven't got enough adhesives found during my travels. I rarely run out of adhesives though, so it doesn't bother that they don't drop off much, but it does annoy that they don't do anything. I mean, I built them a freaking city to live in, gave them food and drinks, clothes, armour and weapons... at least they should pitch in a little!

Good to know, I'll give that a shot later

I've been farming Hubris Comics on and off since there are a load of ghouls in there and a legendary usually spawns in the room at the top of the first flight of stairs. You sometimes also get a second spawn on the same floor through the office

I had a go at this place as a vid I saw suggests it's a good place to drop a minigun (although I'm after the assault rifle), but so far it's been a bit disappointing - quite of lot of weapon drops but more melee ones than anything. I did see a two shot combat rifle earlier today though so perhaps there is hope

Edit to say that I noticed that my explosive mini is dishing out 55 damage per bullet (plus the +30 explosive damage as my Demolition perk is maxed), so 85 per round. No wonder it's so insanely powerful and that's without any points at all in the Heavy Gunner perk

Finally got my explosive minigun, after cycling through 20 variants. Farmed from Nat. Training Yard. Was expecting it to be 28 damage like any maxed out minigun, plus the explosive effect (60 - has 15 damage plus 15 area effect x max demol), but it came up as 112 base damage so I set it to the max firing speed of 313 - the slower fire rate was only 115 dmg so didnt bother. It's totally insane. Bodies flying everywhere so much fun. Reckon it fires 30 per second, so 112+60 per shot x 30 = over 5000 damage per second. If you can lock it onto a SM Warlord he's gone in just over a second. Madness.

I'm assuming these silly legendary weapons only drop if you are running in survival mode? Any legendary characters I encounter give be st like a boxing glove.

Good legendary items appear randomly for all on legendary enemies. In survival mode though your chances of encountering a legendary enemy will increase, because it's harder and they will have a legendary item on them either weapon or armour. So you will see more of them and therefore more chance of the good stuff.

Depends on level as well.

So me only being a lowly lvl 48 will make a difference, only just realised I could change difficulty 'mid game' so have stepped up to hard for the moment before trying V hard.

Any ps4 users having major issues after the update? I can't fast travel, pause the game to save (it just freezes), and struggling to load up if I enter a building or go back into the commonwealth.
I've found a new bit to explore but the game has become unplayable.

Has there been an update today? If not mine's working fine on PS4

Just wondering how your base damage is so high? Do you have points in the Heavy Gunner perk? I was happy with 55 base + 60(?) explosive to be honest and it certainly made short work of the Mirelurk Queen I found today, 2 to 3 seconds tops to kill that thing, absolutely awesome smile Idiot Savant proc'd on the kill too netting me 1200+ XP, happy days

Edit: I think you are at a considerably higher level than me, so that could explain the difference in base damage as a regular minigun is only 15 damage for me I believe

I think the Training Yard is favorite for farming, seems to give better weapon drops than other locations. Just need to allow 20 game days to pass and I'll be back in there looking for the assault rifle

Congrats on finally securing the minigun thumbup

the good (silly) stuff starts above level 60 according to some and survival helps. But you can buy the Spray n Pray from Cricket I think if you find her wandering around, which will serve you well and be great fun. Otherwise it can take forever to find some good stuff - I had to resort to farming to find the explosive minigun I wanted and that was nearly 2 hours of boredom. All my other stuff I have found by chance. If youdont have it get the Overseers Guardian from Vault 81 too and you'll be good to go.

Sorry being a bit of a newbie, how long is this in real terms?

think you can sleep or sit and wait through it - so in 24 hours stints, which take 2 secs or so per hour - call it a round minute x 20 = 20 minutes of your time give or take.

'Fraid not, no. I've had one instance of a quicksave becoming corrupt but that's once in over 160+ hrs of gametime. No issues since the update

Cheers. I think I tried that in the past but it didn't end well hehe My main character is the Commando and will have to give it another go and you've got to love the Double Unkempt Harold when coupled with The Bee!

I noticed it downloading a few days back, but hadn't been on until earlier and installed its self.
