What does a season pass get you, exactly?
All of the DLCs at reduced cost, usually. So a discount for buying them all up front. It's kind of like a Season Pass*.
(* - a.k.a. Season Ticket in the UK)

Ah I see. And does it expire after a season? You know, like a season ticket?
Nice retort. LOL.
It's basically just a way of getting you to buy all the DLCs blind and up-front, in exchange for a discount, without knowing if some are going to be absolute stinkers. Which is why I seldom buy them as, for example, in some games like Borderlands, Dishonoured, Bioshock: Infinite, and the like, they threw you a DLC or two that was solely an Arena match or a "complete various stupid challenges" type thing which was lazy and pants.
Fortunately, Bethesda have a good track record of not doing that. DLCs for Skyrim, Fallout3 and Fallout: New Vegas have all been actual quests.

I read somewhere it is meant to be 300 hours plus of gameplay for the "original game"....
Doesn't surprise me. I clocked up more than that on Fo3, Fo:NV and even Skyrim (which wasn't even my thing really). I tend to get good value for money out of the kind of games I buy. JonRB said:
I'm going to be rather annoyed if my £100-odd super deluxe PipBoy edition doesn't include the Season Pass.

Except for the house building DLC in Skyrim.Well, I really didn't want to give GAME any more custom, but they're the only place with the steelcase edition, so I've preordered from them (the retail store, not the useless online one). You also get an 'exclusive' bobblehead figure which is fun.
Preordered Need For Speed from Amazon though, as they're only 1 version I want, and I actually want it to arrive on release day

Having a major dilemma on whether to get this on PC or XB1.
Pros of PC:
Graphics
Mouse and Keyboard
I can close the door and keep my cats out
My Missus doesn't want to watch crap on my PC
Pros of XB1
Couch / comfort
No RSI
Daylight
I'm leaning towards the PC currently but RSI and comfort are quite compelling reasons to go XB1. Sigh - first world problems!
Also on the cons side for PC (But maybe a Pro) are that I'll be very tempted to dump a grand or more on a new SSD, 980Ti and 1440 Monitor because my current BenQ has amazing refresh rates but miserable colour spectrum.

If RSI is an issue, why not get a game controller for your PC? Many PC games support controllers now. Pros of PC:

Edit: In fact, a quick google suggests that it is easy to connect an XBone controller to a PC. So you don't even need to buy one.
