GT6 PH Sunday night champ season 1
Discussion
How about this: -
Everyone picks a car and track combo. For race 1 we use the picked car.
Race 2 we all get to choose from an already selected field of cars (16 cars if we have 16 players). Then as I've mentioned before you choose one car each week but cannot choose the same car twice.

just need to be carefull with moding cars as leaves things open for people to play with and if temptation is there people will cheat.
what about clio standard no adjustments possible, and race car open for setups like gear ratios ect
or just pick 1 set race car and have no adjustment.
although personally I think no adjustment is best as people can get lost with setting cars up.

That was great fun the other night guys, the first race was fun in the clio's. the KTM's were frigging insane, what a mental little car. Took me a good few laps to adjust to it's hypersensitive nature, i couldn't believe how tricky the first few laps were, once i found the groove it was really rewarding to drive. Although i soon fell out of the groove and never managed to find it again. Still had fun though.
There were some cracking tussles going on, and as expected some big crashes. Some of them were hilarious. Looking forward to seeing how this season plays out, lots of new cars and more importantly tracks to use.
Why not use the GT86 instead of the clio / mini, it's one of the handling cars in the game (especially in standard trim), seem like a no brainer IMO.. plus its RWD. The GT86 is perfectly set up from stock. As great as the FWD cars are in GT6 (massive improvement over GT5) i think as men (norbs excluded) we should be running RWD. They offer a far more enjoyable driving experience.
No overly fussed about the championship format... although i have always liked the idea of everyone getting the option to pick a car (with and without suspension set up, what ever the person decides) and track combo. At least this way everyone gets to choose one race exactly how they want it... this also means we get a nice selection of cars and tracks as everyone has different taste. It has proven to work really well in the past, no reason why it would continue to do so.
Just my 2pc guys.
where we racing this sunday? *cough** Bathhurst in something fast and RWD **cough*.. i fancy getting some practise in this week so let me know.

Fwiw I think sometimes something fun and chuck able with 200 brake offers up better racing than something 400+ particularly when there are 8 or more threading their way through the sinewy confines of the mountain.
I agree, something like a GT86. Edited by KUSHY on Thursday 12th December 22:57
