Some (all?) standard mx5s have invisible stripes which appear as if by magic when the car is painted.

Standard (NA) Miatas and (EU) MX5s only, tried it with a Eunos Roadster during the week and it didn't work (though the same 93 VSpec II in the Ronda photo below did work)
