Just got my best time in which RSR deemed illegal for tickling a blade of grass. A 1:44.556. Gutted.

I promise you no cheating here. I just went and put a few more laps in and got a 1:44.556. Exactly the same as the one that was deemed illegal a few mins earlier.

I've not done any laps since Weds but I'm free this afternoon, is the cut off midnight?

I've tried as much as I can but still can't improve my terrible time!
I seem to rank better in other cars so hopefully I won't be as bad on the next one smile

How many degrees of steering rotation do people tend to go with? I was on 900 but find it hard to catch a bit slide without getting into a big tank slapper.
Had a go with 650 last night and that seemed more manageable.

For me it depends on the car. For the M3s, Evora and all the full road cars I use 900 degrees. For the other cars I tend to look it up or if it's a racing car go for 400 degrees, which is what the cars I used to race were; ie no moving of hands required. I've used 400 on the 599xx.

Well, I think that's me done for this challenge. I've had a few glasses of wine now and my chances of bettering 1:44.380 is diminishing with every sup.

Good luck all!

I've shaved a little bit off my time, just enough to leapfrog Slipstream77, but there's no way I'm getting in the 43s biggrin

Andy - that is a cool last sector.

All I can add is we're going to have some awesome racing down the line.

I'm using the default, with less fuel. smile

I'm still trying to get my wheel feeling right, I'm now using 540 degrees. Then again it might just be this car.

Ps. I did look but found no setups online anywhere.

I thought about making some changes but it's so limited on the 599 I didn't bother, the only change I want to make is gearing but they are locked out.

Put a fork in me I'm done, I think I need to start tweaking things to go any quicker, better turn in and less understeer.

Same as me. I don't understand setups at all so I tend to just run as stock.

Nice laps everyone. It was really fun to see everyone improving as it went along.

Excellent stuff Andy.

Looking forward to the next track/car combo.

Also, as said, I think we're going to have some very close racing down the line between us.
