A few more laps for me - I think there's still some time to come.
Would love to see kars' lap.

I had a good session online yesterday.
For the most part it was great - some really good racing.
There were a few instances of wkers driving the wrong way and taking everyone out, but only in a couple of races.
Not a massive amount of choice but it did get better.
My biggest fear is when the Online Options are activated and a 'Max Ping' level can be set. I'm in the Middle East and the lowest ping I got all day was around 130ms from a server in Romania. Most of Europe was between 150ms & 200ms.
I have a horrible feeling that I'll simply get shut out of the game as everyone will assume that keeping it lower than 100ms is the best way to go.
Oddly enough, not once did I have any racing problems ping/lag related over a good few hours of racing.

Looking at the AC support forum, the general consensus is that as long as the ping is lower than 300ms, as long as the connection stability is good, there won't be many issues. In fact, some of the low ping guys were the ones creating jitters etc...
I was racing with up to 250ms pings yesterday and I had very few issues and some cracking close racing.

Agreed - it is a bit daft.
Say you played 12 games and each one had a 5min booking time... An hour just doing nothing!
I understand why they've done it and I'm sure they'll streamline the process down the line.
I clicked on one yesterday and thought I'd use the 4 minutes 35 seconds to get a drink.
Came back and then realised it had a 4hr 35min booking time!!!!! Bugger that!

I could probably get more time if I brake later into the final chicane
There's a change in track surface that I use as a rough guide to my braking point. Just had an epic on-line race. Great drivers, all qualified 2:17s or below.
Three wide at the first chicane and all through safely. Dicing for 8 laps, real bumper to bumper stuff, came second against a guy that qualified in the low 2:16s.
Aloog's Spa GT2 Server. It's one of the better ones.

Had quick go and couldn't get below 2:20 either but dropped most of the aero off and raised the front end to stop it bottoming out up eau rouge and next lap did a 2:19.661, need to install RSR at some point so for now a screenshot just to show I'm not BSing

Will install rsr and give it another go and tweak the setup further, is it possible to run with 0 wing? I didn't try at the time but it seems with super softs there is still a lot more grip than needed with the minimal aero I was using.
I run 1:3 wings, I think. http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/2960975449...

Maybe, maybe not - chasing those final times means you're often just dipping a wheel off track and the RSR App is more strict and is less forgiving than the in-game penalty settings.
I also realised the other day that RSR still works when you're racing online, which I do a fair bit of, and that is ramping up the laps even though they're nowhere near as fast as when I'm aiming for the fastest times - lots more fuel and tyres that will last longer etc...
For example, my stats of the Spa/BMW GT2 is showing 229 laps with 79% Invalid. I can assure you that I've put no more than 30 laps chasing the fastest time so far and when I'm racing, I'm always exploiting as much track as possible and not caring about whether I'm within the RSR 'rules'.
So I'd take that with a pinch of salt.
Oopps - should have read the full post - no idea how you can have a 100%+ invalid laps.
