How did you find that out? I can't even see my own laps. I shouldn't be allowed on a computer!
none of your laps are registered on RSR because you have penalties off.

I found the problem - when I switched to 'Hotlap' mode, it set fuel usage to zero. Sorry for the confusion!

The last lap I did was using paddles and autoclutch, it was accepted as a Pro time.

Using paddles is certainly faster. I think I will go back to the H shifter and manual clutch now though as it's more fun!

I completed a lap using paddles and checked that RSR 'Pro' level was ok with auto clutch.

Time was a 6:56:019 and was OK'ed by RSR but not as a 'Pro' time?! It also deleted my time from the 'Pro' section! frown

I guess I'm going to have to delete the new time and complete another. irked
Probably the same as me, I did one slow-ish lap in pro mode with TrackIR turned on, exited AC turned TrackIr off came back in, clicked start and off I went did 3 laps. Only it fking changes driving mode to custom. So it has automatic clutch and throttle blip on, can't say I really noticed, until I left the session to change the weather setting. Gave up, too much steering by strings feeling with the F1 at the ring for me and I'm not messing with the wheel settings again.

ou can delete individual records from RSR, in which case it will probably (probably!) bring back your lesser Pro time. It only shows one time per person in the tables, but maintains all your personal history.
Thanks, I deleted the original and set a new one. I think it only saves one time per car/track so I had to set another.
It's fine though, I can always use more practice here! biggrin

I wanted to join in with this one and have a free evening, but annoyingly Steam and AC are refusing to open, even in offline mode, because our internet is down. It really annoys me how all my games are connected via Steam, which seems to assume that everyone's online all of the time. frown We'll be offline all week, so I guess that's me out!

Thanks mate. To clarify if I use auto throttle blip that will not be Pro?

Nope, it has to be off for Pro mode. All the Red blobby options have to be off.

There's a section near the bottom of this page that defines the settings for pro mode.

This is the Pro setting for the McLaren F1 GTR

If the car was fitted as standard (see P1 and Pro mode) with traction control and ABS those settings are allowed (don't change the sliders).

Right now I actually understand how RSR works, I have updated my time.

It is slightly slower, I can hardly use engine braking now without the automatic blip. I think there is another 3/4 seconds somewhere in there for me.

5lider, is that paddles or H? Edit: just seen it was paddles

Starting to make a little progress - it's becoming less like a fast drive down a country lane, and more as if I'm actually on a race track.

Now it's going to get more difficult to improve times. I'm going to have to push harder and increase the risk of an off.

Jon, manually blip the throttle on downshifts

What I'm loving about this - it's a real juggling, balancing act between the steering brakes and throttle all of the way around the circuit. It's so different to a standard track - brake, steer, throttle, straight, brake, steer, throttle, straight etc...

I know I'm simplifying it but this is bonkers.

Also, how big are the cohones of the guys that really do race this place!

Excellent choice! Haven't driven this car before and have hardly driven the track either so it's quite a challenge.

Only had time for 2 laps and luckily they were both clean. Hopefully I'll have a few hours spare at some point to really learn the track and to get a setup sorted.

It is really good fun though!

Thought I'd give this a go as the Ring is such a fantastic track an absolute joy to lap. I must admit after my first go in the car I wasn't going to bother, I couldn't judge the brakes or get a feel for the steering/front end at all, I was all over the place it really is a beast of a thing.

My lap isn't really valid as it's not Pro so I'll try and get one in later with the correct settings.

The problem I am finding is that I am trying to make up lots of time in the first 2 minutes, as I know this bit of the circuit the best, that I keep on binning it.

I was on a good lap earlier this morning but lost the rear end on the third to last corner. Assetto Corsa got turned off after that!

Marvellous isn't it? yes I love the F1 too with the central driving position and that lovely linear power delivery coupled with modest aero. I'm looking forward to having a go once we're back on the web.

From a standing start hot lap on cold tyres, too cautious at the end.

Meh, updated my time but I think I give up. Asking way too much and getting way too low a return at this very basic level of experience. I can manage 7:30 but never clean.
