Anyone ever get the feeling they are trying to hard?

(Yes that is before I even started a hot lap!)

Certainly can't fault the commitment enjo! hehe

I've been thinking about upgrading to a G27 from my DFGT and knowing a few of you use them I wondered if you guys could help me with a couple of questions.

One of the main differences will be the ability to heel/toe which I haven't done before, looking at the the G27 I noticed the brake pedal is mounted closely to the clutch with a larger gap to the throttle, is this better or worse for heel/toe how do you guys find it to use?

On cars with no need for the clutch like the GT3's do you still brake with your right foot or your left? With the DFGT I use my left foot all the time and find it quite handy for occasions when I might want to apply a small amount of throttle to stabilise the car under braking.

Any input appreciated thanks smile

Excellent stuff enjo hehe

I don#t have a problem H&T but I find that I need to wear something on my feet as the throttle starts to rub after a while - I believe you can move the pedal faces across though if you want to.

Tbh, I don't bother with the clutch and gear lever any more - mainly because it's a pain to keep putting on and off. I just rev match now and use the pedals.

As such, always left brake. Much better control that way.

I've got a feeling I would just end up doing the same. I had to blip the throttle with the McLaren F1 at the Ring to do a Pro lap, I thought it was going to be hard but tbh it was a doddle and the car actually felt much more under control than it did with the auto-blip.

Possibly not worth the outlay of upgrading then, it's just the DFGT has been doing my head in with the constant rattling about centre as the car is stationary, it's beyond tedious if you're messing about with the apps side bar before you set off etc. It could just be a settings issue I'll need to check it out and of course brake modulation with the DFGT is a bit of a joke.

I love using three pedals and a gearshift to the degree that I never drive paddle shift cars, other than to have a go at these Time Trials. driving For me the ultimate entertainment is the Lotus 49, Cobra or McLaren F1 on the hardest tyres available on a dusty track with three pedals and a gearshift smile

Seriously though, would it only be for passworded use or open to the public?

Never open a server to the public, it normally causes more trouble than it's worth.
Password protected with only approved people allowed in biggrin

I think what could be cool, if you did host a server, is we could have a Sunday evening race of the car and track we've just spent the week time-trialing - if we look at how close the times get, there could be some epic racing.

When I used to run a rFactor League the server was open all week for practice and then on the Friday night the race server would kick in for the race sessions.
We had a full timing screen setup so that everyone could see all the sectors etc

Hmm you're getting me tempted again Rob...

Probably a daft question but does anyone know how to load your fastest lap when you restart a session so you are always chasing your fastest time in the Delta app?

I'm having fun with the Alfa Romeo GTA on Nurburgring sprint.
It's like piloting a boat and the first corner can get interesting...

OK - you're going to have to download this car but it's really worth it - it's a hoot...

http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/fc1-2009-w...

...and we're going to Spa!

Let this run until next Sunday.

Btw, changed my profile name to 'FunBum' and no one ever tells me off if I do something dodgy online - it's awesome!
