As it's 580PP could Super GT cars also take part? A testing night could be used to determine what can take part? Would be great fun a shakedown for the series. And some good racing.
I don't see why not, it won't be a "STRICT" series and will let people use different cars each round to keep the grid varied

btw the SUPER GT cars are mega twitchy.

I Might set the lounge by min weight and max power instead of by PP but need to try a few things over the weekend before deciding for sure one way or the other.

PP is nice and easy for people to work to at a glance though.

Also Toying with running slow car boost on LOW too......but all just thinking out loud at this stage.

Your call Y2, my thoughts on your thoughts so far:
Traction Control and ABS permitted to make these cars usable for all abilities. - No TC please.
RACE compound tyres (weather you choose soft, med or hard is up to you). We will all choose softs I am sure.
IF we run any wet races they will be declared so before hand and we'll start on an already wet track and will use RACE WETS. Good
MANDATORY pit stop (although you won't have to change tyre compounds if you don't want to). - OK
Tyre/Fuel depletion will be NORMAL. - OK but I prefer v fast.
Slipstream will be REALISTIC. - Good, boost even when weak spoils racing and it becomes arcadey
Damage on LIGHT. - Don't care either way.
Day/night transition on a fast setting on the tracks that allow it. Good.

I ilke the idea of this, so count me in whatever the rules, but I'll not be in every week as usual.

Some of them are quite quick but as you said a bit twitchy smile Max power and min weight sounds good. And being able to use a different car at every round as well. Constant variety at every track!

A Quick session right now and SUPER GT are no no nono they are too extreme for what I have in mind.
For this first series we'll stick to the GT3/Touring Car type.

Ah right no worries then. The '11 M3 GTR is good so that'll be one of my choices for a few rounds.

Max Power and Min weight will end up limiting choice so it looks like I'll leave it to the PP to sort things out and see how it goes.

That way we'll have lighter and less powerful cars mixing it up with heavyweight bruisers, it should work out well.

Looking like 580pp provisionally

Sounds good. Depending on the night I might be able to make every week or every other week.

Blade, what about running a class structure for this series? I know theres nothing set in stone but thinking about it, why wouldn't people just use the Gt3 cars instead of running a golf touring car. It would give an incentive to race the slower touring cars instead of everyone just turning up in a ford gt or sls amg (plus I want to turn up in a 190E without getting destroyed smile)
Just a suggestion!

If you run the 190E I'll run the Alfa 155 to get that old skool European Touring Car flavour

Good point and well made.
I might try a slower touring car tuned up to 580pp this afternoon and see how it runs in comparison to my benchmark 580pp race car...if it runs the same sort of lap times then it might not be an issue come race day with slipstream and suchlike.

I'm definitely open to the idea of two classes though....a class for "touring cars" and a class for "GT3 type" to all run together with separate points scoring for each class if that is what's needed.

I'm all ears ears

How about 2 or 3 different PP's running different ones at different tracks. I'd love to be able to use a Mclaren F1 but refuse to down tune it and the lower P touring cars make for really close racing

shout Confirmed this will be held on TUESDAY NIGHTS.

Start date will be added to one of the opening posts as soon as I know it.

As per suggestion above we will run various PPs across the course of the season.
We will run each PP band for a couple or three rounds then change it (looking at three different pps) to keep variety across the races.

480PP
580PP
650PP

You can still change car each week though if you like smile or you can use one car for the whole season and mod it to change it's PP.

How does that look^^^
coffee

I think it should be good.

I really need to get earning quickly. The only touring cars I have are the super tourings, need to save up and get myself a McLaren!
