Great game and the new fox engine is fantastic ! Will be playing again to get the fox badges and unlock the raiden mission
Little short but the potential for the next game is huge

No recent thread for this?
It's out a week on Tuesday people!
Most recent gameplay demo from Gamesom, I think it looks immense:

It's really weird; all the videos and reviews I've seen have pegged it as amazing, yet there doesn't seem to be any major hype around it...?
I've got a few days book off around release time, so I'll be smashing out some game time on this.
Really excited! It's been ages since I've played MGS.

Does anyone know what the gameplay time of this will be? Hopefully it won't be another 2 hour special.
I've read articles stating 50 hours to complete the story, which will equate to around 50% total game completion, so 100 for 100% completion.Apparently Kojima is worried it might be 'too long' which is saying something
Yeah, this isn't a 'Ground Zero' special. It is a full game, so except circa 100 hours game play (ignoring speed runs etc).
They've held some advanced review events for the media and apparently one tester played for 8 hours (completing 6 main missions and 4 side missions) and this showed up as 5% completion.
Multiplying that out gives you 400 hours; but I'm guessing this involves lots of exploring time. 100-200 hours of normal gameplay seems about right.
