I'm using Take On Me biggrin

I'm about 70 hours in on this game now, and just 33%. That's ridiculous. I know I'm taking my time and going for max stealth, but even so this game has so much content it's unreal.

Think I'm about 78%.

I'm just doing Mother Base and FOB management now really, keeping on top of Combat Deployment, FOB Special Events, dropping into the map now and then to grab a handful of recruits..

I'm at 60% and comfortably over 150hours. It's a bit insane really.

Up to about 52% or so, it had stayed quite consistently at about 2 hours per % completion, but that's gone off completely now as I've been off recruiting loads and generally stalking around the map playing about.

I'm quite near the end story wise, and knowing the odd bit about what is about the happen next, I'm somewhat at a loss as to whether I want to complete things and deal with the consequences or not... So I've sort of stopped progressing for the time being and focused on doing some side ops and such.

i'm trying to be quite thorough in terms of logical progression with missions and side ops.

quiet is on board at last.

i'm at about 16% and sending loads of missions out for resources and stuff.

generally getting more higher quality soldiers, is there an online guide as to which of the mission element you need to complete on each mission?

I rescued emerich but had to go chicken head (which is pretty funny) in the end I blew up the large antenna arrays at each end of the compound as a distraction but ended up going loud and killing everything before getting emerich out. having said that it was the better option as I couldn't imagine carrying that dude in a firefight...

IGN's wiki / walkthrough is quite useful:

http://uk.ign.com/wikis/metal-gear-solid-5-the-pha...

There is a full PDF version of the strategy guide (which is superb) but you'd have to try to find a torrent of it unless you're willing to pay.

I can't successfully acquire the Cybernetics specialist - replayed both versions of Backup/ Back down several times extracting him - immediately goes to "KIA/Former" as "dismissed" every time.
He's quite low ranked, so if your mother base is full, he won't make the cut and will be ousted quite swiftly.

Before extracting him, make sure there's enough space on motherbase for him, then extract him. Once he's back, you can 'lock' him so he isn't automatically dismissed when MB fills up thumbup

Has anyone done the FOB mission / event 'New World Order'?

Flip me that was difficult, I couldn't do it stealth - way too many overpowered patrols, security everywhere, and the worst part of the FOBs is there's nowhere to really hide, or run away to to recoup / replan.

In the end I had to go loud - packed the armour suit, Brennan rifle, automatic grenade launcher and just ripped the place apart laugh

Yeah, but look at that beard!

I have tried making space, doesn't seem to matter. Normally if they're too low ranked they show up as "not hired", but he's showing up as "dismissed" as soon as I finish the mission.
He can arrive back at the base during the mission (I think, or perhaps just if you exfiltrate by land?) and you can lock him in place from out in the field. This worked for me, but I must confess I don't remember whether it was possible before the end of the mission (I think so) or after leaving the hot zone.

I think if you trigger a checkpoint then your fultoned troops arrive back at MB, and you should be able to lock him then maybe?

Finished the main mission and a bunch of side quests before trading it in. Logged about 140 hours and enjoyed all of them but the "ending" was a disappointment. Great game but felt like it wasn't finished...which it wasn't.

I think to get the good ending you need to get every single mission objective and every mission as an S-rank?

As someone who has played through MGS1,2,3,4,5 (not peace walker, but seen it played through extensively).

I want to see how big boss turns into what he has become in the modern era. and also how he manages to 'save' people that become part of his group in MGS1. sniper wolf etc..

and also liquids growth is very much overlooked.
