From watching Amaz last night, he used a lot of small and low mana minions and lots of charge minions. Herioc Maexxna throws out a full board of low attack minions, so Amaz's winning method was to hit the face and keep piling the minions out.

Rush Hunter is probably the best way to go.

All three heroics done and dusted smile The final one using a mage deck with all common cards apart from 4 rares and 1 epic!

Nice job! Will be doing the heroics tonight.

I defeated the normal Maexxna in pretty funny circumstances. I'm reasonably impressed with the AI though I think they missed something; I was losing until it completely ignored my ghoul and put four 1/1s and some 2/3 into clearing the rest of my board, buffing it to 11 damage... so I promptly use my Windspeaker and Rockbiter on it biggrin

I done heroic Maexxna last night. In the end I got her with a full board with only 5 damage and each turn played 2 farseers to heal for 6. It was slow and drawn out but I knew the win was guaranteed.

I found Anubrekhan much harder. Somehow lucked it with a standardish miracle rouge and 1hp left.

Well I got there eventually, and in a similar way, the win was certainly very slow and drawn out!

Agreed about Anub'Rekhan, you need plenty of luck even with a good deck for countering the Nerubians. I was really struggling with decks that should counter well but was having awful luck, so I took the cheap(ish) route by sticking Alexstrasza in a charge/battlecry Druid deck, to win on the second try. I beat Faerlina first time with that deck, after the AI cleared my board badly leaving the Alexstrasza to buff to lethal.

If anyone is stuck, this is the Priest deck I used for heroic Maexxna: http://oi61.tinypic.com/15ez28n.jpg

It looks effective, and it is, but one try in 20 will either get you the slow fatigue win, or taking more chances with heals, charge minions will finish her off earlier. Overdrawing can be an issue though, so I tried adding some cards that could be useful at some stage or effectively thrown away if needed. I don't remember using the Darkscale Healers at all, swapping for Argent Commanders, or one and a Leeroy sounds pretty effective.

You need the Holy Smites, Shadowword Pain, Bluegils etc. in your starting hand to clear the 1/2s and fill the board with 1 damage minions as early as possible. You're in luck if you get 6 damage on the board as in the screenshot, the repeated plays of Earthen Ring/Voodoo Doctor/heal from mid-game onwards will keep you ahead. You'll be on a steep slope to win if it gets way with playing multiple Cobras or Dire Wolves though.

If things go slightly off track mid game, Alexstrasza may help out later to get your health back up to safe game finishing levels. I had to do this after playing high risk over a few turns with a third minion (charge) to bank on getting one more 0 or 1 damage minion on the board. I probably missed a play to finish things earlier, though I gave myself some leeway in waiting to the point of being able to heal to 25+ in a turn. After I used Alex, took three turns to set up 1hp for the fatigue to deal the killing blow biggrin (Mind Blasts and charge)

Second wing completed today. I found the heroics a bit more tricky than last week, I knew what I needed to do but just couldn't get the card draw to do it for ages!

Same issue. Card draw is a must.
