I downloaded the new Family Guy game and I'm addicted, it's the same concept as Tapped out but with a Family Guy slant.

It's in the iTunes store and Android I believe.

Installed and got far enough to get to the Facebook login and invite people. Before I spam my friends list, is anyone else doing the Facebook thing with it? There is no Origin friend system on this as far as I know.

PS. The bad reviews saying you have to buy premium currency within 15 minutes to get Buzz Killington drinking in the Drunken Clam are by people who are hard of thinking, you don't need to do that, send Peter. It is more in your face about buying clams, but you don't need to buy them. Same as donuts in Simpsons Tapped Out.

It's kinda fun. Yes there's longer winded ways of avoiding buying stuff as in Simpsons.
Only annoying thing so far is the houses generate their tax then sit there and don't earn more until you tap. So even if you leave it alone all day, you'll still only get 4 coins. But if you sit there and tap the screen every few minutes you can earn quite a bit.

It's certainly more premium than the Simpsons tapped out think I'll give it a week and see what I think then.

I've downloaded this, it's like an easily accessible form of crack.

I did need something to distract me from the candy crush habit I have developed lately (I know, late to the party)

I never really got into the Simpsons game but this is a bit funnier, in my opinion.

Oh no, I lost my (toilet time) life to tapped out, I knew it was time to quit when Xmas rolled around and I already had all the xmas stuff from the year before....

Just found a good walk through website http://familyguyaddicts.com whilst I wouldn't normally follow a walk through I wanted to see if I really could get away without paying for premium items and if there was much of a game without. Looks good so far.

It also mentions a glitch has been causing problems so the FB interaction has been disabled until a patch is released.

Is it "Free-to-play / Pay to Win"?
If it is then I say don't do it. Vote with your feet.

The payment model needs to be stamped out IMNSHO.

So far I've not had to buy anything, yes if you buy stuff you'll progress quicker but so far I haven't HAD to buy anything.

What a crass question.
What I am saying is that I don't like the payment model. It's cynical and greedy.
I am happy to pay a one-off fee. Always have been.

The sooner people realise that these sorts of games are not really games at all, and are simply slot machines in disguise, the quicker sanity can be restored!

You don't have to play them as a slot machine though, so far for me it is perfectly playable without having spent anything.

Agreed. And that is the way to play them - it's still essentially boycotting.
What I would say though, is that having had a short stab at 'Tapped Out', the whole thing didn't really feel like a game per se. It was all centered around the reward system. Which is why I liken it to gambling.

I do kind of agree, take real racing it used to be £3/4 and I had great fun with it now it's free to play pay to win I deleted it as it was just constantly frustrating me.

However simpsons I find good fun playing for free and clash of clans, this one I do find it wants you to pay for more.
