Anyone else having problems with crafting an item but it doesn't allow you to even though I have the required animal skins?

If you've been skinning animals and dying without saving, you lose the stuff you've collected since the last save. I'd got some Assam Makak skins and a few others, then a rhino killed me. I've also unlocked the Robocop pistol, load of ste that it is.

Would you care to explain what point it is I'm missing?
Would my criticisms be somehow more valid had I already paid for the broken piece of software I can not play now? My position would be exactly the same regardless of how I acquired the material. This is why I test games with torrents before purchase. Having twice bought games which were not happy running on my machine, I shall not make that mistake again.
You may get on your high horse, questioning my morality and ethics, will you take a position to defend the publisher releasing a full priced title to paying customers who can't even launch the game? The cost of a game like this is not pocket change for many, to buy it and for it to be broken, do you think that is fair?

It's certainly not a good situation, but they are doing their best to fix it. Based on your logic, that it's ok to steal as long as the product isn't perfect, you've got carte blanche to go nuts. BMW have had trouble with their cars being stolen due to weaknesses in their security systems lately, would you steal a BMW from the showroom because BMW is selling an imperfect product? Please explain your thought process.

I agree, and that's good that they are, it's just a bit of a shame that is was broken at launch.
To use your car buying idea, one can walk into the showroom, look at the car at your leisure, book a test drive to decide whether it is a thing you would like to own. Discuss it with the sales team. Go home and read up on any faults that may be present in said machine. Then make an informed decision upon whether or not to commit to purchase, regardless of any faults which you can weigh up, and decide upon balance yay or nay. This simply isn't the case with many games now, long gone are the days of there being a disk on the front of your favourite gaming magazine with a whole host of demos of the latest releases. Torrents fill that gap for me. Is that so bad? Would you walk in to a dealership and buy a car, then later complain it's a bit rubbish, when you declined the opportunity to test it in any way?

He's a fking lowlife idiot, so I wouldn't expect him to come up with sounding reasoning anytime soon.

With posts such as yours resorting to insult rather than any reasoned argument and discussion, I do sometimes wonder why I bother to elicit my viewpoint.

If no test drive was offered by the dealer I would either A) Buy something else or B) Looks at reviews online and buy it.
You seem to have selected C) Wait until its night time nick the car and take it for a test drive which ends up at your house, if and when the car is deemed to have met your standards you then may then buy one.

Instead of torrenting call it stealing.

So far I think it 7/10 - very early still on the xbox one.
3 was my favourite game recently.

In fairness, I think this sub-discussion has probably run its course now anyway. Maybe we can get back to discussing the game itself?

(Not directing that at you specifically; it's a general comment)

Or shoplifting, where you might go back and pay for the item. But if you're dissatisfied, slag off the product to put others off buying.

You keep banging on about it being broken but ignore that not everyone is having problems. It just seems like a cop out to justify you downloading it via torrent.

You still haven't told us what your system spec is, here, I'll go first;

2 x i5 2500k @ 4.3GHz, 8Gb RAM, AMD 7950 / AMD 7870

Works great on both of those with a mixture of high and ultra settings, 2x msaa, enhanced god rays.

Maybe you should check your torrent version hasn't stealthily installed a bitcoin miner?

You'd benefit from more RAM. 8Gb isn't so much these days.

Oh, I know. I was just mentioning it in passing that's all. Memory is pretty cheap these days and I was just observing that 8Gb isn't so much and increasing your memory is a cheap way to a performance boost. Especially considering you appear to have a multi-CPU system.

I'm a little irritated that checkmate's pathetic complaints about a game he stole are distracting from proper discussion,

I'm a few missions in and have had no glitches at all. It's certainly much more demanding on hardware than FC3, but playable on OK settings at 2560x1440.

Kill rhinos by water. You can run a few feet in and be safe, then come out and attack again as the rhino walks away.

As if it is really all that important: (lifted from the order sheet)

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor
Asus P8Z68-V PRO Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9)
MSI GeForce GTX 570 OC Twin FrozR III Power Edition 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Corsair Hydro H60 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (Socket LGA1366/1155/1156/775/AM2/AM3)
Processor running at 4.

It isn't the running of the game that is the problem (well, it is a little bit as stated, but a reviewer on youtube is running it on a pair of Titans, and experiencing the same graphical glitches) , it's the crashing at this cutscene, which a number of people are having trouble with, regardless of their system.
I'm not going to bother continuing to defend my position regarding torrents, it's clear some will never agree. If they wish to be ripped off, so be it. Perhaps reference to the "Alien: Colonial Marines" thread is apt.
