You can tag the pilot.

In other news, I learnt today that you can complete FC4 in about ten minutes.
You can complete the game of life in 10 minutes too - but where's the fun in that.

Loving this game so far, though i seem to have come to a point where the missions (story line) have dried up leaving only Shangri - La stuff...not that i am complaining as they are mental. I rode my first elephant yesterday as well...which was exciting smile

Grenade launchers are my weapon of choice against helicopters, I hand't thought about using explosive arrows but I bet they're pretty effective too. Gotta say, I can't get enough of this game. I've just started the Shangri-La missions and they are unreal. I've never played a game that is so visually stunning. I'm yet to open the north but I am methodically clearing all collectibles out of each areas as I remove the 'fog of war' so that's taking some time. The fact I'm doing that speaks volumes for how fun the game is to play, I can never normally be bothered.

I use the Grenade Launcher. Or snipe the pilot.

Same here, I'm 14 hours or so in and only 19% done, collecting all the loot boxes, hunting and collecting masks etc. The main storyline I'm just doing as I go along! smile

All I'd recommend for new players is completing the first fortress quickly, as that unlocks the cool guns, then you can go hunting and exploring with a fancy arsenal.

I'm 35 hours in, have not unlocked the north yet.

Big AC & GTA fan here, I had to decide where to put my money as my game time is limited.

Very glad I chose FC4, its exactly like FC3, Frustratingly brilliant smile

I wish I'd looked at the skill tree a little better before wading in. There is a branch which gives you less falling damage and infinite sprint but only if you unlock the third bit by liberating two outposts undetected. I've done one, but the other "easy" ones ended up as a firefight (I'm not one for the sneaky stealth approach). Now I'm on the medium ones and I'm finding them hard to do undetected. Got so close to one yesterday after an hour or so of plotting only to be spotted by the last bloke when a knife takedown didn't blummin' work - should have quit and tried again but the shotgun intervened

Aside from "Outpost Master" which doesn't give you credit for remaining undetected, I'm now kinda stuffed I feel

I've also read somewhere (because the game manual is rubbish frankly) that you can release the brakes on a vehicle and let it roll into an outpost whilst packed with C4 and blam! But how do you release the brakes? And can you only do it for some vehicles?

I only found out about the "autodrive" feature yesterday too frown Perhaps this is all because I never played FC3

Still having fun mind - 17 hrs in, 35% done and the North yet to be unlocked

bought this last night for the xbox360.

was an odd experience. its been banned in the UAE for some reason [FC3 is on the shelves at virgin] so had to buy it under the counter from an independent.

played 4hrs and i'm in the 'wow' camp. its FC3 taken to another level, exactly what i was hoping for. spent 4hrs exploring, killing, and collecting and only stopped once i got [and had a good play with!] the gyrocopter. agree with previous posters in that just getting around the map is much more fun and involving [swinging from the grapple hooks etc.] so collecting items is no longer such a borefest.

I don't know how your approaching the outposts but I found a silenced sniper rifle from a distance is certainly the best approach for staying undetected. If they are stood together try and split them up by chucking a rock or bait near them so their buddy's don't see when they hit the deck!
