Is this against the rules? It might be. But I don't want my Xbox One copy of GTA V, but I do want this... Anyone want to swap?

BTW, I quite liked Willis in FC3, but what a wker he is in FC4! Still, it resulted in a cool level.
No kidding! I just did the first Willis mission in FC4 and he's become a complete racist ahole. He also seems to have adopted attributes of Jack Wade from the James Bond films GoldenEye and Tomorrow Never Dies (played by Joe Don Baker).

Nice to get hold of the Z93 at last too. The M-700 was starting to get a little weedy.

Buzzsaw, completely OP.

Super fun though, nothing stops it. Climbed atop a cliff only to be ambushed/met by a pack of 5 Wolves...... and their dead, didn't even aim ^_^

Well I have to say I'm really not enjoying the Escape from the Prison mission.

I'm a semi-stealth player, which means I pick enemies off one by one with a suppressed sniper rifle, bow, and suppressed Assault Rifle or SMG, and then mop up if (when) I mess up and alert the others to my presence. The sneaking around unarmed thing is not my bag and I keep alerting the guards to my presence and getting mowed down. Grrrr.

I remember messing that entire thing up, you can abuse the 'checkpoint' mechanics to skip some of it though, essentially run like hell up to a point, get killed and you come back to life at a checkpoint that bypasses a good chunk of it.

I didn't do that intentionally but it ended up going down that way...

The last section with the tower I again messed up entirely and only got through it by sheer amount of bullets used.

I liked to pure stealth a lot of the missions (mainly use silenced load out + one very big gun as backup) but I'm sure some of it is just impossible to stealth.

Thanks.

I took a deep breath, and re-applied myself. I used thrown rocks a lot, really thought hard about stealth, made it to the tower, tooled up, climbed to the top of the tower, and ziplined out of there. It actually wasn't so hard after all.

So, yay!

If anyone wants a quick way of knocking off the bell towers then it's actually very easy to land the Buzzer on the top platform of a bell tower, hop out, hijack it, then hop back in and then either proceed to the next one or else fly down to ground level to loot / destroy posters etc. Also, don't forget that posters can be destroyed by lobbing a molatov at them, which can be done from the Buzzer

i did the same unitentionally as well, however each time i spawned i got killed very quickly until....

there's two buildings roughly midway between where you rope into and the bell tower. go left and up onto the roof of the first, theres a guard with a crossbow which is very handy for sneaky kills. clear both buildings, one guard has a sniper rifle you can use to take the guy out on top of the bell tower. sneak to the tower, kill the other 2 guys with the crossbow and then tool up with whatever you like from the ammo cache in the tower base.

i also got the issue someone else mentioned with yuma's fort. killed everyone yet it didn't become mine. i reckon it can only be done now she's dead but haven't tried.

i'm also a sneaky kind of player. took all but two outposts/forts undetected so far.

loadout:

bow with fire and explosive arrows. the explosive ones are great for group kills and the enemy finds it hard to pinpoint fire direction. fire arrows give your location away due to the trace.

silenced z93 sniper - kill and relocate.

shredder [silenced SMG signature weapon] - general killing [will down a rhino with one mag] yet can remain stealthy.

sidearm RPG launcher - getting me out the st when it goes awry and blowing vehicles away when driving.

i do have the signature heavy machine gun but its too easy and its loud. the shredder is an awesome gun i would deffo recommend.

Similar to mine, only I'm using the Warrior (signature AK-47 with suppressor, red dot sight and extended mag). The advantage of this, apart from the fact that it is available long before the Shredder, is that it uses abundantly available Assault Rifle ammo that you can pick up from downed enemies.

Finished this over the Christmas break, and gotta say it was great fun. Yeah a re-hash of FC3 but as some of you have mentioned, much more atmospheric. The only thing I thought that it lacked was a soundtrack to match FC3...which i thought was superb.

Hopefully there will be a 'Blood Dragon' spin off to look forward to.

I might be ready to swap, finished the story-line & not sure there's much more that appeal for me now. LMK if interested.

I did this and an enemy helicopter came in and engaged me, but I use the sidearm grenade launcher so I won.. Air to air combat smile

A pity you can't perform a vehicle takedown in those circumstances.

Cool! Only time it happened to me, I was right next to a mounted gun so hopped onto that and used that instead. Yours sounds way more cool though. biggrin

That reminds me of my favourite 'go to' thing to do when I can't be bothered doing missions, grenade launcher hunting. Bears especially fly quite well. But eagle much more difficult to hit usually.

Also unlocked a LOT of new weapons last night, the rocket launcher from Longinus(? spelling may not be correct) missions is like a portable mortar on steroids. Also the big sniper rifle, great fun shooting the engine blocks on enemy cars causing them to explode, not sure about the physics on that one but hey biggrin

It's quite easy to get eagles with the Shredder.

Have you noticed how little blood, gore and dismemberment there is in Far Cry 4 (and FC3 before it)?

In Fallout3 and Fallout:New Vegas, if you take someone out with a headshot you literally blow their head off. Not so in FC3 and FC4. Not even with explosive arrows or the AMR.
