Yes, that slightly annoys me. I've noticed that blood flies around and out of bodies as you shoot, but disappears from the corpses.

Not sure this bothers me at all. In fact I would like an option to turn this sort of stuff off all together so I can play with my son.

The swearing is what bothers me when my sons watch. They keep asking me to stop and get out of a vehicle, after I run over enemies, to see whether it is spattered with gore. I must be a bad father!

Fallout3 and Fallout:New Vegas have exactly such an option. You can turn off both gore and swearing, as I recall.

But, regardless of that, you're happy to murder and immolate people in front of your son? And for some pretty full-on swearing? And also to butcher animals and put chunks of raw flesh into a bag, but shooting someone in the head and it actually blowing the back of their head off is a step too far for father-son time? Okaaaay. smile

I've just got to the campaign mission "Paypack" where Yuma drugs you and you go up against a load of Hunters with just a bow. I am not enjoying this one.

Anyone else playing this part on the PC, and their PC crashes at a particular point (explained in the spoiler)?
I've gone though the level, not too difficult, and when i do the final Takedown, it goes to a cut screen. Quite graphic, but then the game crashes. I've tried this three times now, with powering down the PC in between too. Not happy, as i can't continue with the mission.

Hide in a corner so you only really have one angle of being attacked? Then shoot the feckers.

A little googling found the ideal solution:

You shoot the exploding urns to thin out the Hunters, and also to destroy the gates. Then it's a climbing exercise with the grappling hook, and then a sort of boss battle. The Hunters and Ghost Tigers just keep coming but are one-shot kills. You just need to shoot the boss guy and then do a take-down on him whilst he's incapacitated. Repeat twice more (for a total of 3 times). Then it's done.

As _Deano_ says, it's actually quite easy.

After completing this mission, the SA-50 is unlocked. This is a bullpup .50 cal semi-automatic sniper rifle that takes 3 attachments including suppressor, scope and extended mag. I haven't tried it yet.

Any tips on completing the last Thingas where you have to battle against a bloody great fire breathing bird and loads of butchers?

It took me a couple of hours of gameplay to beat this boss.

Let the tiger deal with the butchers. If you keep moving you'll be able to avoid most of them.

Slow time with the bow and shoot the bird in the mouth. When you've hit it in the mouth three times it will drop to the ground. At that point set the tiger on it. The tiger will climb into the bird's mouth and you will need to again shoot the bird in the mouth. Repeat this sequence three times and you'll beat it.

I got surprised by a rhino (ooer missus) last night, but just happened to have my newly-acquired Buzzsaw in my hands.

Mr. Rhino did not last very long.

In other news, the Buzzsaw is rather overpowered but such fun. I'm not entirely sure I'd have survived the tank rush of enemies during the Hurk mission I did last night without it (it was during that rush that Mr. Rhino showed up).

You would have been fine. I didn't find the Hurk missions that hard.

Got the Buzzsaw last night. It made a "defend the truck" mission very easy.

I am, however putting off the final two Shangri-La missions. I don't enjoy those. They are not, however, as bad as the junkie brothers' missions. No way would Ajay let those two live!

Yes, it is rather a game-breaker isn't it. I like it though.

The harpoon is..... interesting. Useless as an actual weapon really but clearly added for the laughs as you run around pinning things to other things or at least making them fly away from you.

Well, I just completed the main quest. I didn't do all side missions - I only did two Shangri-La missions and 3 of the Yogi (drug guys) missions. The game says I have completed 62% and played for 41hr 51 mins.

I chose to kill Sabal which was a difficult choice. Then went to meet Pagan Min and decided to let him escape but then changed my mind and shot down his helicopter. Then when I found out what Amita was decided to do, I killed her too. Which I guess makes Ajay the King of Kyrat and also the Leader of the Golden Path.

If you want to know all possible endings then click the following link. It goes without saying that there are major spoilers if you do click it (well, duh)

I have to say that I really regret killing Pagan Min. Utter nutjob that he was, I think he never at any point meant Ajay any harm and viewed him as a son of sorts, being the son of his love albeit by a different father. He even indulged Ajay in all the killing of his (Pagan's) Royal Guard with little ill-will. Although that kind of says a lot about what a sociopath he is.

I really wish I'd spared him now. But I'm not going to play through the whole thing again to do that though.
