No offence, but maybe you just prefer games that lead you by the hand and spoonfeed you?
I'm not offended. I just don't like games that are trying to be far too clever for their own good. I just find FC4 is bit slow and there seems to be endless wandering around with nothing actually actually happening. And I don't like stealth stuff either. In with a big run shooting monsters and nasty things !

Fair enough.

You *can* play FC4 that way, although you'd probably need to grind a bit to get decent weapons and perks.

But really I think you simply bought the wrong game.

Yes, I'd agree with that.

I just happened across a non-Hurk hunting mission where the old guy giving the mission says he'd strapped proximity mines to monkeys in a bid to escape prison and now they were running amok.

Ajay's response is "What *is* it with you guys and strapping explosives to monkeys?"

Made me chuckle anyway. As did hunting them.

Has anyone else noticed that when you're shooting someone in close proximity, they normally hit you to the ground, regardless of you shooting them in the face with an assault rifle? Very annoying.

One of the syringes reduced the chance of a knock-down.

This is actually one thing that they appeared to have removed for FC4 from FC3. In FC3 you could get a perk that made you much less prone to a knock-down.

If you end up that close, press F for a takedown.

You can only perform a take-down on an enemy who is facing you if they are in the process of reloading. It's one of the little factoids they tell you on the loading screen.

Also, this doesn't alter the fact that in FC3 you could get an anti-knockdown perk and in FC4 that no longer exists and you need a syringe for it.

It's far less intuitive than with FC3, also there are far fewer syringe recipes and it's overall rather more dumbed-down. It was menu-driven in FC3, but in FC4 you hold down your syringe access button (on the PC the default is the Tab key) and then point to which of the 4 you want to create - they are presented as a wheel divided into 4 segments.

In other news, I did some air-to-air combat today. I was taking out a Propaganda Centre and had arrived via Buzzer (the Autogyro that defies physics and would not fly in RL) and when a helicopter arrived I ran to the Buzzer ("git too tha choppaaa!"), jumped in, whizzed up to height, and took out the helicopter with the sidearm grenade launcher. First shot too. BOOM!
Very satisfying. biggrin

Also I've been flying to one Propaganda Poster after another in the Buzzer and destroying them with Molotovs from orbit the air. It's the only way to be sure. wink

You can. But they are sequential so you will have to search your map for an icon that looks like a page of paper torn from top to bottom.

Or, if you prefer, the following link gives the map co-ordinates of each of the 4 of them:

Latest patch and drivers, thought I'd give it another shot....Nope, still getting random crashes.
So disappointing.

Just completed a path to the north, the game has upped its difficulty but still managable and so much fun. Huge map, best game along with forza horizon for 2014

Down the road from you in Letchworth, due to be moving to Stotfold. Sadly also without anything too interesting.

It has crashed on me once. What are your PC's specifications? What are your CPU and GPU temperatures at full load?
