Ground Vehicles
So far feel mega redundant.
The cars on their own are fairly useless but when they get filled up with other players, are fantastic. I also like the way the helicopters suffer much more from ground fire.

I've gone from thinking I might not bother to really looking forward to the final release.

Took me 7 hours in total for download + install on a regular sky broadband line.

I've put a few hours in on PS4 now, tried all the modes (inc. Hacker) and like it but not to the extent it would make me stop playing BF4 and rush out to buy it. It just doesn't quite "feel" right somehow, like it's more of an arcade shooter than a first person sim type game, it reminds me of Chase HQ mixed with COD.

The graphics are really nice and there is lots of detail to take in but I'm just not really feeling a connection with things as yet, the weapon upgrade system where you buy things you want is good so you can skip to your favourite items but as it's a Battlefield title we don't really have any idea if the advertised performance of the weapons actually reflects what they do in the game, so far most seem to be fairly identical apart from recoil.

I have to agree on the vehicle handling, the choppers are OK but the ground stuff feels really clumsy. On the note of the choppers, the one with two seats and a passenger operated chain gun is awesome in the right hands.

At the moment I have no desire to pre-order, chances are I'll pick it up at some point after release when it's not full price.

Took me about 25 minutes to preload it, but I suppose thats Virgins 100Mb line!

Having a lot of fun on hotwire now. It is ridiculously easy to rack up the points, rarely finish a game other than top. Every spawn just get in an allocated vehicle and stay alive for as long as possible, if you're a passenger just mow people down and use the grenade launcher. Finding heist a bit boring, I don't think the map helps. And conquest is well, conquest. A bit of a watered down Battlefield 4 version with more focus on infantry combat. The vehicle physics are absolutely terrible. Feel like they are driving in minus gravity and just glued to the road. And any undulation just causes them to either stop dead or become an awkward janky mess. I know vehicles have always been a bit potty in prior iterations but you'd think with one of the main selling points being vehicular combat they would try a bit harder, but maybe I'm expecting a bit much. Probably won't buy at launch but will pick it up when the price drops. smile

Mine is supposed to be going up to 300Mb later this year, quite ridiculous really.

Been playing it a bit. Not very impressed. Don't think it's garbage but definitely won't be forking out full price.

I can't aim! Whenever I kill someone it's more luck than anything else. Frustrating.

Was enjoying it to start with but unfortunately, having played a few more rounds, the netcode is still just as terrible as always. Get on a bad server and you can shoot people in the head at point blank range, twice, with the hits registering on screen, and they'll still kill you and show as having 100 life left.

Ah well...

Been playing (a lot) more and I think I've changed my mind. Conquest is the good old Battlefield I know and love, and having spent a bit of money on hardware aiming is now a possibility.

Few things though...

1. Are these all the weapons? Seems a bit silly being able to maximise your class in a few hours of playing. I've got the Operator gear I want now so the money is just piling up.

2. I hate snipers, and their sidearm is ridiculously overpowered. No chance at long range, no chance at short range.

3. How the hell do people use the chopper? I was the gunner for a bloke piloting the heli - between us we killed 76 people during the round and died not once. I can't fly 20 yards in a straight line.

I've had the demo on the Xbox 360, and its alright, but in no way feels like a completely seperate game and worthy of £40+ that it will be new.

It does feel like its pegged back a bit on the 360, graphically wise. I would go so far as to say that BF3 had better graphics.

Its a shame that so many people jump ship onto the newer games when they come out. There are some absolutely cracking extra maps on BF3, but due to all the hardcore players who pay for the extra maps moving onto the newer game, all that are left are the casual players that have bought it cheap and only play the standard maps that came with it. I really do miss Wake Island, and even some of those stty close quarters maps now seem quite fun.

I've spent a few hours on this on the Xbox One, and I think it's a lot of fun.

I played BF4 quite a lot on the Xbox One and this looks cleaner graphically (though I gather it's running at 720p), but it feels a lot more fluid and instantaneous than BF4. My favoured mode is conquest on the Dirtbowl map; there's scope for sneaking about, hiding in a house and popping people out of the windows, or having some great firefights around the motel. Then getting in an attack helicopter with the front-mounted HMGs before chasing down and blowing up cars/people is extremely satisfying. It seems a lot more fun than BF4. I see a lot of whinging on the Eurogamer forums about how it's just 'an ugly mod', but I've not had as much fun online since Bad Company 2…

Now BC2 was an awesome game. Such a shame barely anyone plays online anymore.,

Anyone know if the 360 version is restricted to 24 players? This might be the game that makes me finally upgrade to XB1/PS4

Bad Company 2 was amazing. Dare I say, my favourite online shooter ever. Everyone is crying out for more Bad Company, I'm surprised EA haven't done something about that.

The mobile command centres can be a real pain in the arse in this. Park one bear an objective, get on the gun and cause hell! It makes the mechanic's grenade launcher feel fairly useful!

I only had one session on hard line, then went back to BF4. It's didn't click with me like the BC2 and BF3 Betas did.

However only being 7 hours into BF4 this might not indicate much.
