The same development team as the first Horizon but with the Drivatar feature from Motorsport 5.
Certainly one to keep an eye on I think!

It's a great concept, though personally I think that Test Drive Unlimited had many better ideas, like the virtual showrooms, it certainly couldn't be any worse than the dreary Forza 5.
Is forza 5 not all that then? I was so very close to buying the console just for that.Horizon 2 may be the decider if the map is good enough.
Dynamic weather eh? So the engine obviously supports it, so it does make me wonder why it never nosed its way in Forza 5.
The cars need to be able to be tuned completely for it to hold my interest however.
TDU really was great, despite its bugs. I still fire it up from time to time and spank the MV Agusta around the island as fast as possible. As close to a TT game as I'll get!

I found F5 to be a snoozefest. Not enough tracks, and the best ones from F4 were not included, not even the Nurburgring. To me, it felt rushed for release, half a game.Horizon 2 may be the decider if the map is good enough.
I loved the first game. I just found it much more fun than Forza 4 with a much better and interesting career mode.
You need to read this:
http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/06/03/a-sunday-dr...
from the information I could gleam it will have traffic in multiplayer (not that I bothered with multi player much)
The world is bigger than the first one with a 3 times larger driving area (part of this is due to less barriers allowing you to go cross country more.
It mentions south of france and italy in the article so 2 confirmed countrys.
Could be the game to get me buying an xbox one.

This is a fair assessment of Forza 5. Just a load of rubbish, the best handling model going with fantastic graphics, and a crap selection of tracks and fk all in the way of cars. Hopefully this Horizon should be good though. I agree with the above comment that the best open world racer, when considered contemporaneously, was Test Drive Unlimited. It wasn't just the cars and the driving, it was the scope of the game. Upgrading your house and customising your avatar was nearly as compelling as test driving a monster of a car you couldn't quite afford yet...

Never played TDU other than the demo version but I liked that so start from your house as use that as a base.Would love Forza Horizon to be similar. You start off with a Fiesta at your parents house (or similar) & work your way up to a multi-million pound mansion in the country etc...
They should just put Forza 4 in free roam mode and ditch the arcadealike feel of the original Horizon.
It's so simple yet envelopes always feel the need to go to far and lose focus on what originally brought the fan base in.
Create more tuning options, styling options (other models alloys on your car rather than 300 stty chrome/90's jap options) and a normal road environment and it'd be perfect.
