Forza Horizon 2 announced.

Does anyone know if they've sorted the extreme rubber banding that the first horizon had?
That was the only thing that really bugged me about the last game. AI driving gods on the first lap, then they would slow down then they would stick to your bumper. I haven't seen rubber banding that bad since F-Zero on the SNES. Surely we can improve on that all these years later?!

From my limited experience thus far it hasn't seemed too bad. That was the only thing that really bugged me about the last game. I think the download depends on which level of off your Xbox is set to. If it's in the standby/sleep mode, and can turn on by saying 'Xbox On', it might download in the background. If its properly off, it won't.
On Xbone you can explicitly pre-download the whole thing, and apparently it should unlock at midnight tonight!Apparently...I've not preordered/pre-downloaded on xbone before...

That's exactly what happens. The whole file will download and remain in your 'Queue' until midnight. It will move to your game list at 12.01am.Apparently...I've not preordered/pre-downloaded on xbone before...
You cant move the file to an external drive until then either.

Indeed, has it been sorted since the demo? As the rubber banding in the intro race to the festival was just ridiculous. That was the only thing that really bugged me about the last game. My copy is in the post, looking forward to getting on it tomorrow night after work, but I'm more excited about cracking on with Warriors Orochi Ultimate 3 and Shadow Of Mordor!

Cars handle differently. However I can't seem to change my car, which is a bit of a pain.
Not sure how far in you are, but I think you have to progress a bit to be able to, not sure exactly where...not far in though, I'm 2h in and had a different car before I realised I couldn't have before that point. Really enjoying my Ultima GTR Baryonyx said:

tbf that isn't meant to be a race (irritating voiceover dude even says so)...its a road trip, I think meant to be a gentle intro, and an atmospheric drive into the festival to get you started...keeping you surrounded by other supercars also on their way there from the ferry. On an unrelated note...I've taken the liberty of creating a PistonHeads club (tag "PHers") in game - open for anyone to join
(access to clubs is unlocked after the first three championships then racing the train, then the road trip back to the festival...the club screen is unlocked and shown on arrival back at the festival).
