I'm starting to think the Alfa Spider might not have been the best car to replace my never driven RS1800. It's a right looker, but god was it dull to drive. Hardly surprising it never really made much competition to the MX5 when the MX5 was a new thing. I had expected it to feel vaguely similar to drive, but it was quite staggering how slow it felt. The gears feel rather long (but they're not) because of the wheezing top end, jumping into the RS1800 is a revelation. I can't wait to stick a couple of upgrades on the Escort.
Just getting into the online road trip. Like how it rewards you for clean and 'skilled' driving in general. Drifting also nets you loads of points. I may come 5th but still win.
It's also satisfying to see all those people who barge come bottom, even if they may have crossed the line first.

I've encountered a persistent glitch that comes and goes and f
ks the game up, most irritating. It requires a full reset of the system too, since it seems to lock the pad somehow and prevents you from using the button to get back to the browser, and the Kinect voice is a pain to navigate with even if you could shut the system process for the game down. It only seems to happen when you're in free roam, the pad will stop working and lock the car into acceleration in whatever gear you're in, and the car will just run away until it hits something. Pad resets don't seem to work either, what a fking pain in the arse.
That said, I'm having a great time driving the Lotus Eleven around, I love the way it will slide gently before snapping into a pendulum like oversteer.

This game is fantastic,it's so very good looking and awesome fun... Couldn't put it down last night. Didn't take long for me to be able to buy a black F355, I had a lot of fun cruising around free roam with it. Have also been gifted a 360 Challenge!
