Forza Horizon 2 announced.
Discussion
I bought it for the 360 and think it's ok so far. It's fun to play I guess, but not that different from the first Horizon. Visually it's very average, car sounds are pretty muted compared to Forza 4.
I only found out after buying it that the XB1 version is massively different and even developed by a different company. That version looks fantastic from the pics, has the weather effects, more tweaking options and presumably better handling cars. The 360 version is really an afterthought I do enjoy it, but now just want to fork out for an Xbox one and get the full experience!

Just bought this off the marketplace thing, now to wait the many hours it will take to install!
I did the same. The amount of time it took to install was a fking travesty. Ian974 said:
Landed up buying this for the 360 yesterday. Good fun, but a bit irritating being able to buy all sorts of upgrades but not fiddle with any settings.
The 360 version is effectively a tweak Forza4/Horizon 1 engine. The Xbox One version is based on Forza 5 and allows for full tuning. It’s not the developers’ fault that the 360 version is so different – they have to work within the limitations of the hardware. From all the comparison accounts I’ve read, they did a decent job of ensuring the 360 adaptation plays to the older machine’s strengths where possible instead of doing a straight port.
As well as the different game engines and the speed and power differences of the hardware, you can get a lot more game into a Blu-ray disc/36gb download for the Xbox One than a DVD/7GB download for the 360. With the Forza Motorsport 360 games they were on 2 discs, but thats still only maybe 14GB or so.
Heads up, just claimed 1.5 mill credit reward on forzamotorsport.net.
Anyone got any decent drift tunes, or tips for tuning? I'm st at it. I have a 500+ BHP RX7 that is a bit of handful but ok, and a 700+ BHP Silvia S13 which is an un-driveable monster. I'm on a wheel with simulation steering, TCS, STM off and manual gears.

try using a 900hp Supra, in the wet, you put your foot down and watch, that's it. Anyone got any decent drift tunes, or tips for tuning? I'm st at it. Generally, just keep trimming the throttle. The airport at the top left of the map is a good place to practice. Big and open.

I don’t see anything in this pack I actually want to drive. Giving it a miss, I think.Mr SFJ said:

As for tuning tips, change rear tyre pressure to 26 PSI -3.0 camber front and leave back at -0.5, and stiffen all other suspension settings by about 15%, and make sure you set the diff to 100% on both settings.
Thats only basic but it should be controllable for a beginner.

Just drove my mate home, went to the shop and I've just got back to it on 39%...
It is not much faster on the disc version. I only play a game from time to time, but I bought this and between the system update and installing the first 50% it has taken an hour.I won't get to play it tonight now,I ll have to remember to buy new games the day before I want to play the, in the future!
Not got the Xbox one yet, and wasn't going to fork out £300+ to buy this game!
However despite not getting the same setup options etc, its still more enjoyable than I had expected, probably a bit more like test drive was, but more options with painting and modifying.
Being able to adjust the setup is about all the extra I'd want out of it, so if I do get the Xbox one at some stage I can see myself buying this again. Sounds like that version is a cracker
