Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)

Its not in game footage, just using the gfx engine which runs on other hardware than a PS4. I suspect this is running on a PC with dual 980's, using the master detail models and custom animations i.e. not the exact game assets that will actually ship with the game.
Yep - a bit like the Unreal Engine 4 demoshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lY20pxEQM-A

Quite spectacular - but also quite far away from how actual gameplay will look, especially on limited hardware like a PS4.
From sixthaxis:
"They confirm that the new Battlefront takes place amid the conflicts of the original film trilogy and is scheduled for release Nov. 17 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
“In a demonstration of the game’s multiplayer mode, a team of jetpack-equipped rebels were shown carving their way through the woodsy Endor while Stormtroopers charged at them on foot, on speeders and within walkers, including a hulking AT-AT war machine.”
Other locations include Hoth, Tatooine and Sullust, a planet mentioned in Return of the Jedi and other Star Wars literature.
The big news is that for the first time the series will include vehicular dogfights, “The action will also take to the skies with players engaging in dogfights with TIE Fighters, X-wings and the Millennium Falcon.”
“You can get into these vehicles, from speeder bikes to X-wings, TIE fighters, AT-STs, AT-ATs. There’s a wide range of vehicles that we wanted to realize,” said executive producer Patrick Bach.
It appears that top players will also be rewarded with the option of spawning as Darth Vader or Boba Fett.
Two weeks before the new Star Wars movie launches the game will receive free DLC set on Jakku, the battle-scarred desert planet shown in the “Force Awakens” trailers.
UPDATE: Eurogamer report that there is no single player campaign, instead there are “crafted” missions playable on your own or via split screen or online co-op. The split screen mode will also be available in other modes and you can also switch between first and third person perspective whenever you like."
Not sure if I'm more excited about this or the film. The PS2 and PSP versions were brilliant.

No content from the prequels? Granted the films were ste, but there was some good stuff in there to use in game.
It looks like they're leaning away from the original Battlefront games, which I'm disappointed about to be honest. Will we see game types such as CTF, Heroes and Hunt? I doubt it. No dedicated space battles is a huge disappointment.
But, it still looks like it is shaping up to be a good game. Even if it is Battlefield: Star Wars, that isn't exactly a bad thing.

This looks amazing!
Couldn't see a single person getting shot whilst hiding behind a wall either, so fingers crossed Dice, eh?!
Where is the fun in that?!?! lol Couldn't see a single person getting shot whilst hiding behind a wall either, so fingers crossed Dice, eh?!
Game play looked really good. I thought it was the campaign at the start of the video. Graphics look stunning and games play feels much more polished than BF4. A lot smoother.

Presumably that's top end gaming rig (PC) footage?
Does look amazing.
Watched the same trailer earlier on another forum and it said PS4 captured gameplay. Certainly has a triangle button press in it somewhere too which would tie in with that.Does look amazing.
Looks a cracker but I do wonder if it'll get boring very quickly once the SW nostalgia wears off.
