Hoth as well.

But how can you have the right weapon? IN the Snow Speeder you have the guns, that is it. So how can they shoot me at a range when I am in the ship I can't see anything?!!?
Yep, likewise, i'd like to know how they do it too!

It practically aims for you - are you slowing right down and performing a 'run' over areas that are known to be crawling with opposition players? Quite often it's more a case of shooting fish in a barrel. Just like the walkers, if the target goes yellow then something is going to get hit if you fire.

The Fighter Squadron element to the game is the only one I really play. As a concept it has massive potential, particularly as at the moment it's limited in terms of what you can actually do. A broader gameplay (convoy defence, capital ship attack etc), would bring a lot more strategy and cooperation into play. A team of X wings went straight for the hero ship when it spawned in a game I played last night - not giving it a chance to get the opposing teams' kill rate up. We took it down before the opposing tie's could take advantage.

What I would like to see is some space battles (Yavin and Endor)....

Oh, and sort the glitch out on the A wings which makes them stupidly difficult to destroy! The imbalance between the imperial fighters and rebel fighters has always been there - I could do without shields on my Tie, just make them as fast and as manoeuvrable as they are supposed to be which will counter the durability of the rebel ships nicely.

I love Fighter Squadron. Can generally finish top of the tables on either side but agree it's much harder to win as a team as Imperials. I alos hope they develop this part of the game a bit more over the DLC releases.

Oh yes. And perhaps a Death Star battle too...... I think I would be rather keen to pay their con level season pass if there was a space battle over the surface of a Death Star...

A few updates last night (4GBs worth)...

"MORE TURNING POINT, NEW HOTH MAP AND MORE!
In this free* DLC you’ll find a new Survival mission on Hoth, a new Hoth multiplayer map that will support our larger game modes including Walker Assault, Supremacy, Fighter Squadron, and Turning Point.
We are also making Turning Point available on all maps that currently support Walker Assault and Supremacy! And as a reward for completing the recent Community Mission we've added a new Princess Leia outfit!" (ROTJ but Endor not Jabbas Palace wink

From here : http://starwars.ea.com/starwars/battlefront/news/f...

Not too much to write home about, but more is always good!! smile You strongly suspect that they are hurting from a lot of the criticism - rightly so, but at least they are responding to it.

I've got the Shadow Trooper outfit now, which helps a _lot_ on Endor and Sullust. TBH it also helps on other levels when indoors or in the shadows (funnily
enough).

Paid For DLC should be coming next month... "Expect more in March including free updates and the launch of our first digital expansion pack to give you more of the content you love – more maps, weapons, and heroes, and an all-new mode. The Star Wars™ Battlefront™ Outer Rim expansion pack will allow you to fight among the factories of Sullust and battle within Jabba the Hutt’s palace on Tatooine."

Can someone wake me up when all the "additional content" i.e. what you should have got on the full game in the first place is available for less than £40.

I got the wuaki deal which is sometimes on offer and then topped up with another voucher bought online, so a few pounds shaved off that way as well.

Although I think the recent (Feb) nerfing has reduced the effectiveness of my already poor gameplay!!

Is that for the whole game including the season pass? I had a look and all I could find was the season pass for that price which means you still need to buy the original game for another £25-£30 and that's just on the PC. If I want it on the PS4 it's even more money and it's not worth the £70 quid I'd need to pay for the whole bundle.

I'll give it a few more months I think.

Free March update is here! It seems to mostly consist of two new maps and I think some balancing of the weapons...

EA has announced the March update for Star Wars Battlefront is now available on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. The update adds Rebel Depot on Tatooine as a new Survival Mission, and brings Survivors of Endor to the Walker Assault, Supremacy, and Turning Point modes.

Sorry just noticed this.

NO, I bought the game a long time ago (pre-ordered) - that £36 was just for the season pass. I know, £80 for a game really.... I just wish they would charge 80 in the first place and be fair about it.

I can safely say if it was not Star Wars this game would be s***e. The Spawning is getting better but still appalling, the dropping of a partner etc is annoying as hell. The random hit detection....But it is Star Wars.......... Soooo we still play it.

DLC update coming today, for Season Pass Holders! smile and a free update as well!

I'm starting to quite enjoy this game, now I've got in to a groove and know enough about the maps to easily and quickly find my way around. Although I must admit I almost exclusively play Walker Assault.

The new characters will be good as will the new weapons and Hutt Contracts etc.. smile

I guess a little nerfing will happen today.. It's quite interesting to see people swap/choose certain weapons and then change over to the most effective ones quite quickly after an update.

ETA : Just noticed this....

I'm away with work this week but will be downloading this over the weekend. Looks like a solid updated with some great new content. I'd been out of console gaming prober for a few years after I was bored with my 360, Ive been impressed with both this and project cars for th amount o forgoing development and listening to users for changes.
