Completed my first Contract - the easy one, Dioxis Grenade - signed up to three of them.
Have been using the Dioxis Grenade a bit, it's interesting... It changes my gameplay a bit!
You don't seem to be able to combine cards like you used to - e.g. Jetpack in/out and grenade or Personal Shield and Grenade, which is a shame, but may well calm down some of the gameplay a little..

Picked this up a few days ago for £20. No way was I paying £50 for half a game but at this price it's definitely worth it. As expected it's got very little depth or strategy to speak of like other Battlefront\Battfield games, you are basically just meat for the grinder but what it does do, it does really well.
The ambience, the levels, the sound effects, the graphics are top notch and make you feel like you are in a Star Wars battle and for that reason I am enjoying it immensely. Not sure how much longevity it will have though, I suspect the novelty will wear off pretty soon. It's a shame they didn't have the conviction to make it a proper Battlefront game rather than Battlefront-lite but I'll enjoy it for now. Convinced my Star Wars fan mate to also buy it so partnered up it should be even more fun and chaotic.

Yes, I mean it's not like there have been a LOT of updates since it launched 8 months ago.
I bought the game a week ago.Last night I thought I'd fire it up for a quick go before bed, first I had a Playstation System Software update, 10 mins while it downloaded, installed and then rebooted (twice). Then another 30 minute wait while I got the Battlefront update downloaded and installed, most of my gaming time gone.
I know updates are a part of modern gaming now but sometimes I miss the simplicity of just turning the console on and playing it. It's one of the reasons why I moved away from PC gaming for a while as I couldn't be bothered with all the faff and now it's followed me onto consoles.
I just think they could handle updating better, most of the that 4.5GB update was for the DLC which I don't own. It would be quite easy to write code to determine this and only give you the bit of the update that does the game patching\fixes which would only be a few hundred MB at most. Alternatively they could put out the mandatory fixes\updates in a small patch and then give you the option to download the bigger DLC content or not as you wish.
I know every game does updates in the brute force fashion these days but it's just laziness to be honest.

So is this worth £24 that is now costs on Amazon?
Ive put off buying it but have always wanted it. With DLC though its still £60 which is a lot but perhaps still worth it?
It is £20 pre-owned in Game, I traded in a couple of old games so effectively got it for free. I think CeX even have it for £15, I would never have paid full price for it, I think it was over £100 with the season pass when it first came out but for the price I got it for it's definitely worth it. It doesn't have the deepest gameplay but it is fun and it's Star Wars.Ive put off buying it but have always wanted it. With DLC though its still £60 which is a lot but perhaps still worth it?
You can also find the DLC for £35 online and I suspect it will drop further soon. If it drops to less than £30 I'll probably buy it.
Evening chaps, bought this last week for my son on ps4. Been playing a bit for the last few days and I'm really struggling with it. Now I appreciate that people play these games to death and there are all sorts of whiz kids, lags, cheats and all sorts of reasons why I would be rubish at the game but I seem to be miles off the pace and really hope I'm missing something.
I'm hardly a game playing hot shot and am well past my best on this sort of thing nowadays, but only a couple of years ago I was rocking the top of the charts on mw2, with 4 or 5 prestiges under my belt and would regularly end up winning free for alls with a 30/5 ish ratio. Can I have gone downhill that quickly or am I missing some thing? I am struggling to get more than an odd kill on Star Wars, can anybody give me a quick idiots guide please? I seem to get shot before I've scoped and even when I do shoot I'm getting nowhere. Is there a stopping power pro type upgrade I need to level up to perhaps?
Thanks all.
