I visited one planet and one of the animals was the single most aggressive ahole so far. Literally ran at me from several hundred metres away and very nearly killed me.
I put it down and scanned it... "Irritable" "Eats Insects". fk you No Mans Sky!!! I'm not an insect and I hardly think a creature covering the 300m faster than Bolt can do 100m is really "irritable", I think it is more accurately described as a "total bloody psycho!"
Anyway I named it "Fluffy Cuddle Bunny"
Nice find
I found a really beautiful, tropical planet recently, the trouble was that *everything* on it wanted to kill me immediately. The sentinels were listed as "frenzied", can't remember what it said for flora and fauna but the animals all made a beeline for me and attacked me the moment I got out of my ship. I didn't stop long, just grabbed whatever I could in the immediate area, headed into orbit then renamed it "Farquhin Skereh" and uploaded it.
I'm still getting black screen crashes pretty regularly, usually after 15-60 mins play time but have a repeatable one just now at a knowledge stone located at a Vykeen ruin. I've sent a support request to Hello Games but it occurred to me the one thing I haven't tried yet is reinstalling the game (Steam on PC version). If I'm going to do that I'd want to back up my save games first, anyone know where they're stored?

the FB page is great :-0
I finally got some cold suit protection. Needs further upgrades though really, barely lasts compared to the hot one (that I had to use recently!)
My current planet I'm on is water and land, some plants but no life.
Frenzied sentinals and Gravitno balls galore. I am trying to find the Laser cooling recipe so I can stack 100 Gravitno balls in 1 slot!
The bots are not too bad. They scan on sight and after about 10 seconds will attack. Not too bad, easily dealt with. Running away from 3 star wanted level can be a bit much though. I had a 4 star and a big walker came out, nearly shat myself.
Easy bucks then.

Looks like stacking of items like this was a bug & has been removed in the v1.09 patchCurrently have 289 Vortex cubes, 50 gravitino balls, 12 Dynamic resonators, and 3 of the matrix things. That takes up 6 suit slots. (I also have a stacked slot of Vortex cubes in the ship but that only has 2 cubes in at the moment. Will keep that for future. Before selling that lot I have about 20m credits from gold and Emeril farming. I did get my money up to 45m at one point by farming Emeril and selling at +5% but spent most of that on my first 'big' ship.
I've seen other folk online posting pictures with 14 stacks of Vortex cubes in their suit and 6 stacks in their ship (around 54,000,000c at base value, some places buy cubes for +110% over market !). Nuts amount of money waiting to be cashed for the right profit margin, especially as these guys already seem to have 50/100m in their bank already!
Talking of ships I spent a few hours on Sunday finding crashed ships and upgrading... went from a 39 slot bus to a 48 slot race car in a maybe 3 hours play time? So having loads of money largely doesn't really matter at the moment. I have found crashed ships on planet for free that sell for 100m + credits on the station.
And a good trick to stick to if you plan on upgrading several times in a row on your current planet is to only fix the launch thruster and pulse drive. Ignore or dismantle everything else, you will be ditching it in a short while anyway so not worth spending resources you wont get back on things you don't need
Currently looking around for my "forever ship". Like the look of the one I have but saw a stunning ship on my current planet last night before I switched off so going to find a crashed version I hope (According to some folk the ship types you see at the station will be the ship types you find crashed in that system, or variations on the same layout).
I've only been to 4 planets, but lots of times to mine and sell at a nearby space station. I must cut ties and move on!
It's like supermarkets. I go to a nearby tesco because it is twice the size of the local Sainsbury's, and sells all manner of exotic stuff. Yet I buy the same meat and 2 veg every week!

I know nothing about this game, never played it and all I know ow is it was built up huge pretty release and now it gets slated again I don't know ow why. From screen shots I've seen it looks fantastic. Can somebody explain to me what exactly is the deal with this game and why there is such bad press post release. I would like to buy it to see why the fuss is about.

Beat thing to do is watch people's live streams on youtube to get a vague idea of what it's about. There's loads out there.NordicCrankShaft said:

Developers promised the moon on a stick, delivered merely the moon (no stick). It's mainly unjustified hype that it didn't live up to - but the developers were cagey about dismissing the hype, they stayed vague or outright "lied" about what would and wouldn't be in the finished game, so the fans' imaginations ran wild and the finished game inevitably couldn't live up to it no matter how good it was.
I say "lied" in inverted commas because I believe the developers meant well and did intend those features to be in the game, but didn't have the time to get them suitably finished and polished for the release schedule which was probably under huge pressure by Sony.
It wasn't very well optimised (at least on PC) and some elements were broken on release which didn't help. It was overhyped and overpriced, once Sony gold hold of it what should have been an interesting low cost indie game became in effect a 1st party AAA release but still with an indie development team.
In my opinion, it's an interesting idea that is just not developed enough. If you like doing the same thing over and over again then great. I got bored after about 10-12 but stuck it out another 4 in case I'd missed anything. I hadn't, pretty much every planet is the same but with slightly different skins and hotter/colder more/less plant and animal life.
