Yeah, DriveClub VR is largely being reported as a vomit comet. Not sure I'm in a hurry to try that out!

Wanted PSVR for bloody ages but I sorted out a PC a few months back and it's still quite a bit more powerful than my PS4 so I'm going to sit on the fence for a little longer and see how things progress.

Meaning I am embarrassed to be so excited about going home to play a video game when I am a fully grown adult with a child!

I'm 39 with a young daughter. I collect Ps3 and Ps4 games. The day I am not allowed to get excited about my hobby is the day I hand up my boots. Once a gamer always a gamer (just less time...) :-).

I'm looking forward to people sharing their experiences with this kit!

Cheers

It's not the sharpest resolution of the VR games I've played so far, but it's good enough to "lose yourself" in the moment, and the immersion of drifting around an M4 whilst looking out the side window is rather glorious.

"Drove" for around an hour until I felt some discomfort so stopped - apparently you do build up a tolerance to VR nausea, but must not try to push through.

Still awaiting delivery of mine, it should turn up soon hopefully. The games have arrived so I have installed them all ready to go. There's also a free VR Demo (31GB download!) on the PS store that apparently has some more stuff than the shipped demo disk so I have also downloaded that.

Really enjoying Until Dawn - who would've thought shooting stuff with a pair of move controllers could be so satisfying! Some laugh out loud scares too. Can't wait to give Mrs IainT a go on this tonight yikes

Battlezone and Eve: Valkyrie both look solid from a quick shot. Battlezone in particular is a thing of beauty - from the menus to the satisfyingly chunky sound effects

Drive club is no Project Cars (it never was), but as a taste of what we can expect from VR driving games, it's well worth £22.99 (In Game) imo.

First impressions - I'm completely blown away by VR and to think this is just the beginning cool

That's the sort of stuff I was hoping to hear after investing £500+ into it without even trying it out smile

Might download Until Dawn aswell.

Just had a message from Amazon, won't be getting mine today. 'Delivery attempted', really? I've been in the house all day.

Amazon Logistics are the worst courier I've had the displeasure of using.

How does this compare to the Oculus Rift. I tried the Oculus last week on the New York Sky Scraper scene and genuinely tried to grab the railings etc and felt the uncomfortable feeling I get when high up.

I am debating buying a PS4 + the Project Morpheus which will allow me to also play the likes of Uncharted 4 on the the PS4 or do I buy an Oculus Rift and a GTX1070 (rest of my PC is top spec apart from the GPU). Price wise I am not fussed.

Amazon sent mine via Royal Mail tracked!

Loving mine so far, but I can't help notice the poor resolution

I'm really impressed so far, have been pretty much on mine all day, only times I've stopped are after a few races of drive club, might be me being soft, but my stomach turns after a while.

Until dawn is a great game, and VR world is great for getting the feel of it, another game I would recommend is Hustle Kings VR, for £15 it's really enjoyable.

As I said over all really pleased with it, glad I invested in one as I can see this being great for future games like resident evil etc.

Agreed. Even though I was sort of forewarned by the trailers I was still expecting a bit more. I still very much like it though!

It's really impressive. Your own the main screen and your thinking this isn't anything special, its just like having a phone strapped a few inches from your eyes. Then you fire up a game, the view expands and you are in a different world.

The motion tracking works really well, you are constantly looking around.

All this looking around you have to do, I bet there will be lots of cricked necks etc in the future lol.

Mine arrived today but it's gone straight in the loft ready for santa to deliver it for my son.

Can't wait for Christmas now!

People who have purchased it, are you happy with it? Is it the future or do you think it will be a fad?

I think it's brilliant. Just had a good sesh on EVE and whilst the game is a bit meh, being able to look around the cockpit is awesome and so intuitive! The first thing I did was the ocean descent and I was in awe just looking around!! I then jumped onto until dawn and was jumping around like a little girl, you know it's coming but it's terrifying!

Personally I can't wait until they bring out a better resolution product (and I assume we'll have to run it on a pro). I'd have happily paid more now to have something with a better display - that's the big let down for me (also makes cinematic mode a bit crappy .)

I've seen a lot of people online are underwhelmed, so much so that I'm considering not opening mine now and just getting a refund.

It's odd because the media reviews seemed very positive.
