The more I think about it the more I believe the 'PS4k' will be akin to the Slim models Sony have done in the past, just updating the console with newer technology, so that it runs cooler and more efficiently, and at the same time will support 4k and all its associated spec for Blu-Ray, Netflix etc.
I'd love to see a more powerful console for games though.
Yeah, I would imagine it's mostly 4k Netflix and UHD Blu-ray. It may also have the PSVR breakout box features included. Worth waiting for IMO. I've always waited for the 'slim' versions of the previous consoles.I'd love to see a more powerful console for games though.

Yeah, they've either decided to do a cheaper Slim (possible due to smaller construction, less 'high quality' materials and less ports to capture a market that the PS4 was too expensive for along side a more premium PS4 for people to upgrade to, or this is the natural progression of the console just getting smaller and cheaper.Anyone else on here expecting delivery of PS VR tomorrow? Reviews I've seen so far have been largely positive so I'm really excited to see if it lives up to my expectations.
I have pre-ordered a few games (Eve Valkyrie, Battlezone and Driveclub). Will post up a review tomorrow once I have it set up and have a few hours to play.

I wanna jump on it to support VR and make it a success, but I don't have the £350 to just throw down for more a 'betterment of gaming' reason. I'm hoping we'll see a VR bundle with a PS4 Pro, either officially or maybe over Christmas etc, unless the PSVR is in short supply/high demand and we see no real offers.
If I could spend say £600 on a PS4 Pro, PSVR, Camera, Move controllers and a game or two I think I'd jump.

Amazon are saying all pre-orders will be filled by 12th December.
So it sounds like they are going to be in short supply up to xmas.
£350 for the pro
£350 for the headset
£70 for the controllers
£45 for the camera
I think £600 will be optimistic for a while yet!
I'm not expecting to get to that price any time soon. I'd even go a little over as I already have the Move Controllers, but I think it's about the right price for me personally, if developers show signs of properly supporting both VR and the Pro itself. So it sounds like they are going to be in short supply up to xmas.

Developers have been told that there are absolutely NO PS Pro exclusive titles! All games developed for PS4 must be developed for both standard and Pro models. Only resolution is allowed to change (obviously). There is a detailed Sony statement on this when they unveiled the Pro for the first time.

Resolution, frame rate and visual effects can change, with frame rate and I think resolution being locked for online play. All games developed for PS4 must be developed for both standard and Pro models. Early reviews have already indicated that the Pro really pushes some games over the edge in to truly immersive thanks to extra detail and higher frame rates.
There will be no exclusive games, or features etc, but for VR one could be 90fps the other 120fps, or 720p vs 1080p, and that's a big deal for VR.

As gay as it sounds, I cant wait to get home and give it a go! Not had a go on any of this VR stuff yet...
Got VR Worlds, Eve: Valkyrie, Until Dawn to play. Wanted to buy Driveclub VR, but will give the demo a go first (plus the reviews which came out yesterday are pretty poor).
