Actually they're having a "March of Nations" special between 15th Dec and 19th Jan. Tier 8-10s will be 15% off during that entire period.
For tiers 2-7 the discount will be applied to each nation in turn (5 days each). They haven't published the schedule for the EU yet, but the Russian, Korean & US servers have it in this order:
British, Soviet, German, American, French, Chinese, Japanese.
Probably:
30% off tier 6-7
50% off tier 2-5
Tier 1s are free anyway.

Maybe I'll give them a try. I want to play some of the forthcoming mediums and TDs first though.
Talking of TDs, I like the SU-85B, but by god I get some utterly useless teams with it. If I want to win, I have to play out of my skin to do so. This was my 3rd attempt tonight, and I really didn't want to lose this one too:
That's a Delanglade's Medal for killing 4 tanks who were capping, Top Gun, Defender, High Calibre.
No Radley Walter's at tier 4 sadly.
I was the last one alive on our team and had to go into the cap after the B1 heavy tank to win it.
I'm knackered now.
Check it aaaht..

Thanks, yes I thought I'd be sneaky and double back, but it was further than I remembered. I hoped the Marder on my team would kill the low health tank or at least damage the B1, but unfortunately he didn't.
The B1 shot me twice earlier because I was typing in chat. I won't be doing that again. I also lost the first game because I didn't load the gold and bounced a T-25 twice; So I didn't have any issues with doing it in this one.
I also had a tough game with French H35 tier 2 light tank before that one.
Here's the game:
http://wotreplays.com/site/1423783#himmelsdorf-shi...
It started badly and then the team just collapsed before I'd had the chance to do much. This tank is not that quick, but it has quite good all round armour and can bounce the machine gun calibre rounds from the likes of a Panzer II. That's why I ignored him and killed the ones that could hurt me.
I was lying in ambush near the end, so feel free to skip as nothing much happens. I was planning to cap once the clock got down to about 5 minutes to go, but I figured I'd have more patience than they did.

Some nice photos from the 70th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge re-enactment. The weather was suitably snowy.

That Jackson looks fantastic, not so sure about that "Jagpanther" though, but I suppose you can't expect too much from the Daily Mail.
I added a Pz.Kpfw I Ausf C to the garage this afternoon, after seeing Quickybaby's video with one that he posted yesterday. A fun little tank, though I'm not sure it's an epic seal clubbing vehicle, as it can struggle on open maps where side and rear shots are harder to come by without swarms of TDs targeting you. It also doesn't feel that fast, even with the top engine and tracks, the top speed is high but the acceleration is a bit sluggish, and the penetration of the Mauser gun is crap. What what a joy when it's top tier, and you find a soft target, the enemy must feel like their tank is melting!
I've also reached the M3 Lee, won a triple and bought all of the upgrades in one go, played another match and it's still st even when fully upgraded. The M3 Lee is one of those tanks that I love shooting at, as practically every shot always goes in, they're huge and hard to miss and never feel that dangerous when shooting back - except now I'm on the receiving end! At least it's a short grind to the next tank.

I've been trying to raise some credits for the forthcoming tank discounts. So I've just spent some time going through the depot selling off all the tracks, guns, turrets etc. that are surplus to requirements.
As you upgrade a tank, the old modules are automatically sent to the depot. Even if you sell the fully upgraded tank, it only sells it with the top modules. As a result, the depot gets full of stuff you're never going to use again, even if you buy the tank back one day.
I managed to get just over 8 million credits by doing this.
You can also raise more by flogging off some of the consumables that WoT has been throwing at us over the last year. For example, I've got 284 large repair kits, despite never buying any. I only use them on the Churchill III anyway.
They'll be half price for a month from tomorrow, so if you have any you want to sell, do it today.

Its a terrible tank. I really feel sorry for some US tankers in those and the M4.. (and M6 now..)Use it as a TD, dont get close to enemy if you can help it!

Always a good tip, thanks for the reminder . Also would add if there are any tanks you are sitting on waiting for discounts to upgrade, and will sell when you do upgrade, then best to sell them before the discount kicks in as the % off will affect the sale price too. Just make sure you put your crews in the barracks first As you upgrade a tank, the old modules are automatically sent to the depot. Great for the unemployed but what are the people that have a life getting?
ETA: any mention of discounts on tier 10s?
It seems that the tier 8 to 10 discounts will be running for the whole duration of the March of Nations so you can pick up your high tier tank at any time during this period without waiting for that specific nation's turn which is pretty sweet.ETA: any mention of discounts on tier 10s?

I have the E50M and the FV215B 183 unlocked and can now pick them up. All I need is 10 million credits! Its fortunate that they aren't tied to the specific week for those particular nations as it gives me time to grind out the credits (have to dust off the Lowe).
As for the mission for the WZ111. No way...just no. Has anyone done the math for the amount of time you need to devote to that grind? Its Christmas and I have drinking...ahem...I mean social activities to attend to.
If anyone really wants that thing, just get the premium WZ112 when its on discount, its much the same thing. A few differences but generally the same.
Talking of grinds. I have been in the trenches doing this Clan Wars campaign, chasing the reward tank. The campaign finishes on tuesday night (thank God) and it looks like I will actually qualify for the tank
It seems I will have a choice from 3 tier 10 tanks, the VK72.01K German heavy tank, the M60 American medium or the Object 907 Russian medium.
My question is, if anyone has any experience of these tanks can they recommend which one would be best from that selection?
Sorry I can't help on the clan wars tanks, but fully agree on the WZ111 mission. The maths on time and battles required to get it are just, well, crazy relative to the reward - especially at a time of the year when there are plenty of better things to do.
Optimistically it's around 700 battles, assuming each nation can average 1500 damage per battle and 1.5 kills per game - more likely closer to 1000 if you have to play lower tier tanks due to nation restrictions. At 7 mins per battle, that's ~82 hours of non stop tanking, at a time when the mission will be promoting brain out play, kill stealing etc etc. Not for me thanks WG

I bypassed the M3 Lee first time round. However this time I might actually give it a go in its Grant iteration, just to see if it really is as horrid as people say.
I have seen a few previews of that new line but to be honest, the only tank that really interests me is the Firefly. That is something I have been waiting on for a long time now.
I have no interest in the tier 10 Deathstar 2. Yet another doom cannon but mounted on a turret as big as a barn with 14mm of armour...no thanks.
