The guy is a fking cock. I fully understand why Circon hates his guts. Watch his stream from 18 Dec and go to 4:30:55. Ik starts telling a story about a friend of his and QB just talks right over the top of him about his crappy gameplay and ignores everything he says. Ik starts to tell the story again around 3 mins later at the start of a new match and QB does exactly the same thing again. Proper ignorant he is, all "me! me! me!". Peppy should've told him to fk OFF!
Yeah, what a fking knob he is, raising all that money for charity and taking the game seriously.
Don't be so naive. It's all fake and set up. He's only doing it for channel boosting reasons.

Irrespective of his motivation, there is £9k at least going to cancer research and disability charities - thats more than I have done for charity this year so he gets my respect for that.

OK .. no axe to grind here.. just how does QB get those donations?

Fair play for the charity stuff, nicely done bow

Am I that out of touch that people watch a stream of a "high profile" WOT player and then open their wallets and donate to him. Not dissing it.. would like to know how this sort if stuff works confused

You can keep yer pants on as well, no chance of me getting any subscribers with my ELC noobery smash

I don't get it. I can see how he makes money for advertising, and subscriptions to his channel to a degree. But why people just donate I don't know - i guess there are a lot of people who value his channel and are happy to pay from time to time to keep it going.

His charity stream has made over £15,800 for the cancer research and special effects charities (50/50 between them). Still a lot of generous people around & good to see video games players and watchers can also do something worthwhile at the same time. clap

fks sake, I log on to try and get some gold and put a T34 in the garage while it's on discount only to find that there is a problem with the gold purchasing system and they've disabled the "buy gold" button while they fix it. fking hopeless.

Shut up and take my money!

Yay about the patch, good timing for some new playthings for xmas. Fingers crossed for no major bugs....

Mastodon2 that's typical, hopefully they fix it soon. There was a bug yesterday for a while on the EU server where all the missions disappeared from people's missions tabs - making progress on the WZ111 (for those doing it) impossible rolleyes. At least they fixed it fairly quickly, but WG do seem to have knack for doing things like this at the wrong time.

T34 US Heavy is pretty good though, you will like it I think.

I wish a Christmas miracle could make Port disappear too.

EDIT: Problem solved by a 2 hour server switch off. The gold issue has been intermittent so I hope it doesn't come back. I managed to get on, get the gold and put a T34 in the garage and picked up a Tetrarch bundle for 1250, which came with a garage slot and 3 days premium time, which is a reasonable deal. I got a few garage slots while they're half price too. Merry Christmas to me, the T34 will quickly put back the 2.4 million I just spent kitting that and the Tetrarch out, while continuing to develop the crew I'm using to go up the American medium line.

I've got enough Russian premium metal to develop some stronk Russian crews, which will be handy as I've got a lot of unfinished business with the Russian tech tree. Object 263, 268, the mediums and the upcoming second heavy line etc, so many tanks, so little time.

268 isn't worth it anymore. Go the ISU if you want it but end it there. 263 is worth the painful grind but the 101 and 100M1 are very marmite and the grind will do your lid in if you don't gel with them.

140 is a decent medium if you like them.

I've already gone up the 268 line, made it as far as the ISU, gave up 40,000xp short of the BL-10 as the 152mm derp at tier 8 is miserable.

Just played my first match in the Tetrarch. Seals well and truly clubbed, no Radley-Walters at this tier but my 8 kills netted me an Ace Tanker, I'll have that.

Since it was reduced by 15%, I got the Russian ST-I tier 9 heavy tank. I used free XP for the top turret so I could fit the top gun on it. I unlocked that last year sometime with the IS-8.

It's not a quick tank anyway, but with the stock tracks & engine it just kinda glides around. It won't be a bad grind though, it's quite playable as it is. It's not a particularly long grind to the IS-4 either, some 189,000 XP.

The Conqueror on the other hand, which I also bought, is going to be a royal PITA without the top gun on it.

Nah, just fire HEAT & it's OK. Don't bother with HE at all unless there's a waffle you want to wreck. Even then only aim at the gun shroud or you'll do sweet FA. I've just bought back the SU-152 on the live server to go spamming HEAT at people. evil

Once you get the BL-10 you can wreck anything. Plus the Object 704 is a great TD.

I didn't mind the SU-152 so much, I wouldn't buy another one but it wasn't too bad, but by the time I'd picked up an ISU-152 and worked through the first few packages I was sick of it and ready to play something else. I don't really enjoy casemate TDs all that much, or at least I need to play them in moderation. The 704 is a beast though, and I've seen the 268 pen shots that should be impossibru.

Quick first thoughts on the T34 - hull like paper, tier 6s shoot with glee knowing they can shred it, but get it hull down and oh my word, that mantlet is new levels of ridiculous. The gun can be pretty troll too, at least when RNG is not on side. Nothing unexpected, does what it says on the tin, but it feels good and makes serious coin. It does have the alpha punch that makes people think "wtf back up, back up!", which it needs given it's base reload of 15 seconds. This effect was felt by a T28 when he bounced off my mantlet at 480m, then I returned a shot through the front of his hull, he must have cacked himself as he tried to back out and I wrecked him. Money well spent, I can feel this being a real go-to tank.

Anyone got any experience with the FCM 50T? Could be tempted by one when it's on sale from tomorrow- seems like it is more of a medium than a heavy (size apart), with decent mobility, good view range, great gun depression and a nice fast firing gun & limited MM. Have never played it on the test server, but it seems to tick a lot of boxes I like.

Are there any particular drawbacks with it (stupid crew configuration, low ammo, cant go backward etc)?

I don't know if they're a hard tank to play right but on the Xbox I find them easy kills compared to other heavies.

I've not heard of any particular quirks (though crew setup is simplified for Xbox), but everything I've seen and read of it says it plays like a big medium, a really big, slabby medium. The gun is good, decent alpha and good pen, good ROF and accuracy, armour is not worth mentioning, good mobility. In the hands of a good player they can wreck st, in the hands of a noob I'd say they're the least dangerous, or at least most easily dispatched tier 8 prem.

I had a few games with the FCM 50T on the test server a while ago. It's quite big, but it has the mobility and agility of a medium tank.

The armour is not stellar, but it's much better than the regular French heavies. Along with a fast turning turret and -8 degrees of gun depression it's not a hard tank to play. Quick reload (8 r/m) too and it doesn't see tier 10.

The crew layout is the conventional:

Commander
Gunner
Driver
Radio Operator
Loader

It carries 91 rounds and I don't remember it being slow backwards or any other particular foibles.

The IS-6 and FCM 50T are the only tier 8 premium tanks I would probably buy.
